Grid Resistors - Can't find any...pulling my hair out!

Hi All,

I'm very new to EDH and am struggling to find a grid resistor so an engineer can upgrade my FSD. I've been on Dav's Hope a couple of times and can't locate any lying on the ground. I've also been to two material sellers and they're always out of stock.

Can anyone offer any advice?

Thanks

Also, I don't think it's the material traders who are out of grid resistors, it's more probably you who is out of anything else to offer in exchange. (They don't exactly sell materials, they trade them in exchange of other materials.)

According to Inara, these can be found from salvage, USS and as mission rewards. I usually got mine from USS.

And I've never seen a trader to be out of anything so far. Are you sure you're looking at a manufactured materials trader?

As above, There are no Mat sellers, Strictly traders only, when there click on the Grid resister box (dotted outline) the move to the mat you want to trade from, click it and you will be good to go.

Good Luck CMDR.

Probably the easiest to stockpile through a trader. Swap an unwanted G5 and have a laugh! Seriously, what's the issue here since traders showed up for something as low grade as a grid resistor?

If you want you can go to an anarchy system and blow up everything you see at the nav beacon. Enjoy the scooping.

Material traders really made the game playable. Without them you had to check the most likely system for every darn material, go there and GRIND. A really good addition to the game.

I located two stations with Material Traders on them but when I looked it said Grid Resistors zero. Probably me but not sure what I need to do TBH!

Got like 60 of these out of a CZ the other day. Just took my Vette in, pew pewed to pop something, then let the limpets have their fun. Was kind of fun watching the NPCs shoot and ram me and the shields regenning faster than they could do damage. Seemed so common that nearly every ship I blew up dropped them.

Note - If you launch an SLF and it blows stuff up, it'll drop salvage. Good way to level them up too as they gain a massive amount of experience that way.

I don't know what CZ or SLF are!

Cz are conflict zones and slf are ship launched fighters.

I also recommend conflict zones. I have 300 grid resistors thanks to CZ. You will also get polymer capacitors and propieraty composites. Also usefull hard to get stuff.

Be careful at Combat Zones if you're a newbie, they ain't easy. And be prepared to visit the rebuy screen a few times, especially if you are going to be trying to pick up mats in the middle of a warzone.

I did a guide to surviving them ages ago which should be mostly still relevant here.

Although it's more gindey to get them there, places like Daves Hope are safer.

Just go into a CZ with a friend. Don't wing up and do not declare. Let your mate do the pewpew and Hoover up all the mats that are dropped.

Risk free for you.
