Griefer at Altair, Solo Orbiter station, INSIDE the station griefing...

Technically this code will only work if the shot hits both another ship and the station at the same time. See how easy bugs are to introduce? :p

Damn you boolean logic. Do I really have to use karnaugh maps for even the simplest of things? :D

You still need to address the efficiency problem. Do you really want to run that check every single time a PDT fires?

You really only need to check after a hit is confirmed, and this is the discrepancy FD missed. Stations must run a different set of checks than ships do after taking a hit.

Have we stooped to critiquing bits of code thrown in as a joke? :D

I stopped optimizing code when JIT compilers became advanced enough to do it for me. Yes, I'm lazy and just code for fun. My days of getting a complex 6510 routine to run in 4 raster lines or less are over.

Obviously you didn't ticket it...

Why should I have to ticket something I wasn't a part of?

The 2 guys that discovered it both sent in a ticket, 3 tickets from 3 people about the same incident seems redundant. Especially when one of the tickets is from someone who wasn't even there.

It is the snide "carebear" comments that pi*** me of.
i work as paramedic and some days i am just not in the mood for body parts flying.
Yes i know it is pathetic but that is the way it is

That seems to be because you interpreted the term as something bad. The best wow raiders in the world are still 'just' pve players, even when their action for sure is anything but easy. There is simply no reason to defensive about it. I get my wife rarely to play pvp games with me, because she simply is most of the time not in the mood for it. And no extra rewards in the world could convince her otherwise. People are either in the mood for pvp or not, there is nothing else to it. And pvp is not magically more challenging than pve either, with the wrong fellow players it can be become quite dull very fast.

no it not pathetic, is this some kind of self inflicted low self-esteem complex of "all those who don´t like combat"? It just as good or bad as any other gamers activity. And two out of three game modes in elite are dedicated to PVE?

The best thing to do with insults is to embrace them and wave them as your flag ;) Carebear and proud!

I think I got griefed at the Altair Solo Orbiter? Was in a ASP and was blown up just as I was entering the station, dropped me from 43.7mil to 42.5mil, so money not the problem. Just wish I knew what happened! I was dead before I even realised it lol. No idea if it was the station guns or someone dropping mines or missiles. But the whole thing was bizarre until I saw this thread. Must remember to read the forums more. :p
