Griefer Warning - Guardian ruins sites

"Solo is the only real option if you want to be safe."

I can remember in the early days of planetary landings an occasion when my ship was attacked on the ground by an NPC in solo. I always dismiss my ship whatever mode I'm in since that day.

So just a minute, let me get this straight.

We (or some, enough for FD to implement it) all gave a thumbs up to a C & P that drives naughty players towards lawless systems, and then follow them there and maon their is griefing
Just making sure I can stay on message for today's ironinc community position.

Cheers
Simon

Pirate "cheating" and make easier way, destroying unarmed ship for example. Its part of the game or role-play. And easy avoidable. I think they bring life in this game, but lot of people hate them lol.

I have to agree with this one, and by now its common knowledge that it's more than likely going to happen and when it does making a post on the forums about it, doesn't do anyone any favours.

people asked for an easy and predictable way to engineer, now its here

unfortunately everybody has an easy and predictable way now to get the long range FSD or loaded weapons

well at least beginners will be safer now, but i am sure

this will be fun soon

You are absolutely correct. It is part of the game for whatever silly reasons the ganker/griefer wish to give.
But Solo and PG modes are also part of the game and people who play in Open, get blown up however, then come here to complain are serious dummies. There are 3 modes - use them! Play the game, your game, your way.

No need to send messages. I play my game, they play theirs, none of my business. I used to send messages back then when the ruins were added, but it would only give them more time to log.
Well, then you can't expect them to understand that you're roleplaying as a "protector of the Guardian ruins". Too many cmdrs out for lulz at those sites in the past for players to assume anything else.

Nothing that would imply that my intension was specifically to mine salt there :]
Hahaha! Sure. It's not like that's an ongoing thing there ;)

The simple fact is that you are fair game in anarchy space.

The other simple fact is that explorers are not able to equip themselves to a level that makes them competitive in PvP combat. Hence solo and private groups. It's all good.

If you actually search up that quote, you get context which shows you it wasn't even in-game related, but it was a facebook argument with a few salty Xbox PVPers about ship builds :)
Oh, I got the context. My initial point was that salt and saltmining is a thing in the place were you made an initial reference to this thread. That you may not mine salt in the game doesn't change that it is a thing there.
And in-game vs out-of-game. The lines get blurry when it's all related to Elite. That's almost like saying "I love mining salt in Mobius, but in Open I am always a fair and decent cmdr."
