Griefers at the Engineers

If you don't understand why "grown men arguing with each other on the internet over a game" here, maybe you should also consider you're not bright enough?

And while one that, ponder on the fact you might have not a faintest idea of what your ganking actions in-game mean for other players. Smart people don't do what they don't understand you know. They learn to understand. One of the ways to learn stuff is to discuss them with others.

Yes..., "Y'all need to grow the F up" is totally a statement of a grown up person.

Sorry im too busy clubbing seals to care.
Before you judge someone btw, do some research. Im judging you because you are a nobody ingame as far as i can see, just an opinionated forumdad. But try doing some research on people's contributions to the game and community before you assume they are bad people IRL.
I re-iterate..... chill the F out

I don't need to know anything about a guy that is intentionally stealing my personal time on his own terms without my approval.

but you should ideally know the rules of the games you play, and being destroyed in open for whatever reason is within the rules. ofc we can theorize and discuss all day about the nature of games and humans and society, but to you should know what you play and how.

personally, i don't like car traffic, that's why i don't go walking on highways.

I agree that it is your privilege to 'gank' someone at Deciat in open-play.
What is a little off putting is the pretending that a 3v1-landing-pad-blocking gank is much in the way of a contribution.

Play how you want but others get to wrinkle their noses at it.

I can handle myself pretty well in any PvP scenario, still my in-game ignore list is having around +10 fresh add-ons since yesterday. :)
We don't have the option to block players on PS4 (just chat), but IIRC blocking players on PC has a side-effect of preventing you from instancing with players you do not have blocked, if those players are already in an instance with those you do have blocked. Can anyone confirm this?

Me personally, if I'm not in the mood for griefers, I just switch to Solo to do my business. This weekend I was desperately looking for any sort of excitement, even griefers, but Open on PS4 is pretty dull these days. Perhaps on PC this is not a problem thus blocking people won't adversely affect your overall pool of players to instance with.

Well this thread went down the tubes fairly quickly. Inb4 the thread gets locked.

OP the new thrill for gankers is doing exactly what happened to you. My advice to prevent further scenarios like this is just go engineer in Private Group. Less of a headache.

Well cant disagree with that, good logic. However i wasnt claiming that pad camping is a contribution, thats just us being dirty greifers tbh. I could list my community contributions but im not really one to brag.

You really think I'm talking to gankers here? LOL!

Dude. Have you read their posts?? To name a few last examples only:

This is a bunch of "people" I'd like to avoid at any cost. Both in RL as in here.

My part of this conversation is among other things to flush them out and point every one of them for future use. For myself and for others fallowing the thread. :p

LOL! Erase the last one. +1 to ignore list. Thank you! :p

You're lecturing people on how 'smart people' try to understand things, but instead of trying to understand gankers, you're treating them as less than human because of how they play a video game.

You're this forum thread's version of Jack Thompson.

I'd say that makes you quite a bit less than as smart as you think you are, and pretty damn hypocritical, as well.

You've also broken the forum rules a few times by making personal attacks, so I suggest you stop doing that, or I'm just going to start reporting you. Stop letting your emotions do your talking, and start applying your critical faculties instead. Your personal problems, and value judgements, do not amount to anything even remotely meaningful. It's not just the gankers who will ignore you, it's everyone with a single ounce of rational thinking in them.

TL;DR - you're the one being immature, and you're the one with the attitude.

Solo or group play would work well for you.
No need to manage extensive ignore lists.

BTW, some of the people you've blocked have been very helpful to new players.

I never fly SOLO. Was a guildmaster of around 300 members guild for almost 4 years. So I know exactly how to deal with griefers. And our beautifull galaxy A.D. 3305 is full of beautiful people I'm having fun with! :)

I can think of a contribution you've made.
After reading how you play I no longer feel so bad about pushing an old lady into a fruit stand at the grocery store.
Have you been to the supermarket on a Saturday at 10:00 AM?
That is some serious open play PvP right there.

Currently, I'm busy getting my knickers yanked by novice NPC pirates in Bhotho but I'm slowly getting better.
Know this: Once I get some skills I'll be looking for people like you - so enjoy it while it lasts because the law is coming for you, baby.
ETA: December 2020.

jasonbarron waits to see if Gaarp takes this seriously or starts in with the all-caps name calling again

Nah, that's not true. Depending on timezone there are lots of players online, especially during CGs.
And many players there are cool. But it is very different to open, it's essentially safe mode, which many people like and which is ok (a game, remember?)

Indeed, have seen a number of CMDRs at the CGs, as well as in Azrael. I have been helping with Operation IDA lately, and also have seen some human CMDRs around the repairing stations.

Comparing videogame griefers to people who throw rocks at cars is akin to calling someone a because they corrected you on your grammar.

That's really unfair.
The colloquial phrase "Grammar " has nothing at all to do with comparing the proponent to an actual . It's just a phrase that has been adopted and described in various info media sites such as wikis and the like...

Calling someone a Grammar is NOT labelling them as a . "Grammar " is a distinct and separate thing all on its own with its own individual meaning.

Hope that explanation helps with your angst?
