Griefing is a valid way to play

You are aware that threads with titles like "Griefing is a valid way to play" are a strong incentive for players to leave open and play instead in solo or group, yes?
I severely doubt people would change to that unless they already have experienced a lot of griefing and want to avoid it or simply do not want open play, over a forum thread title.

I went to Lave just to participate in some of this excitement about some group or other taking over lave and the whole time I was there, I only saw 1 CMDR at the nav point.

I really think these cries of griefers are just bored people making up stories for the forums. I rarely see ANYONE even in the supposedly crowded parts of the galaxy. let alone anyone with any sort of agenda.

Then play in solo.
Yeah, right. FD promote how wonderful multiplayer is going to be, and then you expect us to not take advantage of how wonderful it is because they have failed to put in appropriate mechanisms to make it work for our game style? I have no problem being pirated: the game would not be Elite without piracy, and allowing players to play the piracy role was undoubtedly the correct call. But facilitating selective piracy on PCs is just wrong.

So you want to play with other players, but allowing other players to interract with you is against your playstyle?
I guess I do not understand exactly what it is you are saying.
Usually when i play a game, I expect to learn its rules and systems. I don't expect it to change what it is to cater to some idiosyncratic playstyle I might be especially fond of.

Is there any point in having a discussion if you don;t bother to read what I am saying, so put words into my mouth?

Play in solo yourself. Open doesn't "belong" to griefers and PVP bullies.

I don't grief or bully. I play in warzones, and I do bounty hunting in RES and Nav beacons. I haven't killed any CMDRs yet. So I guess just because I disagree with you, it doesn't mean I am one of those horrible people you are so intent on hating on.

Griefing is not a valid way to play and here is the reason why. If you get your kicks from actively ruining someone else's enjoyment then THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH YOU IN YOUR HEAD. Seriously, go and seek help.

Or go and play Eve. You'll fit right in there.

Another person talking about stuff they don't know

EVE is even less of a grief/gank simulator than Elite.

Elite has no penalty, no real police, no real bounty, there is no meaning behind PVP because PVPer's cant 1) loot their enemy 2) stop their enemy from progressing factions (yay solo)

so whats left in Elite for PVP? meaningless killing.

This reminds me of a character who would preach about how player killing was inhumane and how it changed them and that it was bad, all that despite the context of their situation being completely normal for the game they were playing.
Really wish that MC died off; how uncanny the similarity.

Well since interaction with other players is so narrowly described in this thread; it would be better to remember DB's comments on PvP...
