I have been wondering what is going on with my own forum rank, as I seem to have been at my current rank for ages. I don't wish to worry you, but I have about 4 times the number of posts as you.

I thought that over a thousand rep points would help, but nope.

You're off to a bad start. See, using the term "Grinding" to describe the journey to Elite right away tells me that you are seeing this as a chore instead of enjoyment. Yes, it takes a LONG time. Unless you find an exploit like the Elite Explorer rank. But it's supposed to take a long time.

Forum Elite is simply number of posts. The green pips are rep, which is based on how many memes you post I think.

There may be a quality aspect to the memes.

Thats easy...have an opinion and share it...the salt comes naturally. Then defend yer opinion...followed by yet more salt...etcetera etcetera.

Doesnt have to be a good opinion or even remotely practical, but it helps as this means more material to work with ^

Yes, the real grind is that green bar. 1,500 +1's needed to hit eleven blocks. And that's not the end of it.

The problem is that once you've hit Elite, you will find it difficult to stop.

Coming onto the forum and making vacuous comments becomes so habitual you'll find yourself posting to the most inane of threads even after you've hit your target.
