Hello Commanders,

We hope you’ve been enjoying delving into the secrets of the Guardians in Beyond – Chapter One!

We’ve discovered a bug where scanning a Guardian Codex provides a Guardian Blueprint. This is not the intended function of the Guardian Codices, which are required for the Ram Tah missions.

Our intended way to acquire Guardian Blueprints is by activating the Guardian Data Terminals and then scanning the Guardian Sphere that appears afterwards.

We just wanted to inform and assure you, ahead of time, that we’re preparing a fix for this issue. We expect the fix to be live in the next corrective patch in the coming weeks.

It’s also important to note that we will not remove any Guardian Blueprints from Commanders who acquired them in this way (be that now or up until the release of the bug fix).

We thank you for your understanding.

A bug the Guardian content on release? I'm shocked, that never happened before, no wait, it did, and last time it took almost 6 months before it was finally working as intended!!

Definitely better this time though, this time we have nice clear message from a community manager within 24 hours telling us what's wrong and promising a fix within weeks. This IS an improvement and very welcome! :)

I forgot to mention the other 'bug' ?

Quote from GalNet: "Ram Tah has asked that any data be delivered to him at Phoenix Base in the Meene system."

I've now unlocked Ram Tah and I still see no way to deliver any data to him ?

Interesting. Thanks for the heads up Will.

What should the Guardian Sphere provide us with?
What do you mean by Guardian Data Terminal? Obelisks?

The Guardian Sphere is part of the Guardian Data Terminal.

The Obelisks (which we call a Guardian Codex) are the triangular objects you scan to get data and complete Ram Tah's missions.

Got it, we shouldn't collect Guardians Vessel/Modules/Weapons via the Obelisks/Guardian Codex. Only via the Guardians Spheres.
Thanks for the additional details :)

but then my question is:
is the data terminal supposed to only give 1 data instead of 3?
cause as we get 3 data types from it and with the fighting relog etc its about 10 minutes for each walk trough + the ammo for the srv ;)
its a bit low of a reward for the effort and time needed.

(also gimballed versions of the guardian and ax guns pls)

This! As far as I can see the only point of this data is for Guardian Tech Brokers, not an actual mission for Ram Tah so this misleading piece of text should be redacted.

You guys really have got to test stuff on an in-house "Live" build, not test it with all your debuggers running lol (hence your entire population of players had to put up with squares showing up on planets for 2 years while you "had no problem" at all - oh, and lets not forget the Guardian ruins bugs in 2.2 and 2.3 - even up to 2.4 :p).

Until you do and use a 3rd party program to debug your game, instead of using a debug in your build, you're only going to keep coming back to bugs every time you do a new patch.

Hi - doing it the "proper" way only seems to yield 1 "Guardian Weapon Blueprint Segment", instead of the normal 3 you'd get for a drop.
Is this expected ?
(I need 8 for a Plasma Charger, you really want me to this this 8 times ? )

Clearly they do. Best to fill up on 100 of these while you can, because once this is "fixed" you'll never see that many again.

Apparently. Since I require a Gauss Cannon for testing as well I need to do this a total of 12 times, on number 7... it's REALLY tedious but I refuse to leave the site since I'm also farming sentinel parts and didn't know this trick. Once I'm done I'ma fly my ASP to one of the Guardian ruins I know of and farm away though. I haven't seen any glimpse of the vehicle blueprint (even though we clearly don't have that in-game yet and its some sort of placeholder). I'm disgusted at getting only one per though.

Especially Annoying is the fact that you only get 1 material by scanning instead of the regular 3.

Most likely you might get a fair chunk of all required materials if you go doing the ram-tah mission instead of 'I want this NOW'

I am done with the guardians for now without even noticing this bug. But it seems that something is changed, since the datapoints (scan missions or dav's hope) just give you 1 material instead of 3 either. Is this working as intended too?
