Guardian blueprints

Your better off using a small ship such as a Diamond Back Explorer for Guardian Blue Print Scanning. You can actually land on site with one.

I highly recommend having a top mounted Point Defence fitted, which will protect you from Sentinal Missiles.

Have, synthesis materials for SRV, Fuel and Ammunition reloads.

Use cover of ruins to duck in and out to avoid Sentinal fire their A.I. is not great.

I'm on Xbox. The location is HD 63154 B 3 A. It's all shown in this vid, but it's not lighting up for me. Maybe I had to visit a particular engineer first?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J9C9a00-rkQ&t=98s

I had to leave because I quit w/my SRV on the planet, DBX in the sky, and when I logged on again my SRV was kaput. But I'm going back as soon as I can figure this out.

(btw: I finally bought an Anaconda this week, but don't have enough left over to outfit it properly. JUST NEEDED TO TELL SOMEONE!! Pretty damn exciting)

If you go to the location on Exigeous' video the pylons should rise - they won't until you visit that part of the site. You should be able to get the lat / lon from the video, though those sites are easy enough to get around with a little experience.

There is a howto somewhere lying around on this board that talks about a sequence that needs to be followed in order to get everything done. I forgot about that because it seems like when you visit the site for the second time, the sequence suddenly doesn't seem important anymore and the pilons rise regardless.

But doing the same thing on my second account I got the same thing. I started on a spot I knew a pilon was and nothing. Found that walk through here and started at the first one and could work my way to the rest. After I had completed the whole thing, pilons roze in no particular order. Dunno if you are seeing 'this'

(on a side note: how in the world did anyone figure out where this planet is and what they needed to do to get the Guardianblueprint in the first place? Is there an in-game explanation or info area to learn this stuff? If I hadn't run across the YouTube vid I never would have known about it)
Just to answer this part of things. You’ve kind of got things the wrong way round. We’d been exploring and investigating Guardian things for a long time, and those kind of sites were a new thing in 3.0 which got explored and investigated. The FSD Booster came later and effectively was developed based on the results of those investigations. Here’s what the starting point for the 3.0 sites was::

And if you want to see how it all happened, it starts in the main Guardians thread, at this point:

It’s all summarised on the Front Page of that thread too.

Hey, thanks for all of the suggestions Commanders, I'll have to read through those links and try again - I had read some but not enough I guess.

Also, I am in a DBX w/point defenses, and used mats to refuel and reload. I'm not much of a fighter so was confused when the missiles started flying, didn't know if they were from my ship attacking the sentinels or if they were from the sentinels, for the most part they just bounced my SRV around a bit. And yes, I did some hull damage just trying to land near the site, but was there for the point defenses to work. One of the greatest games ever, IMHO, but sometimes I get weary of the STEEP learning curve.

Thanks again

Small steps.
You're looking for this area.
Note the cross, centre of pic.
This is the highest point within the site.
Look for the two triangles, bottom left and right.
As you approach these, the two pylons will emerge from them.

Anytime cmdr. (Though the links I have are much more for general interest and background reading, rather than being a guide to doing that particular site!)

And while you’re at the site, and done the main thing you’re trying to do, don’t forget to take a bit of time to look around and see what else there is to find there! ;)
