Guardian FSD booster does not work..?

Ok, so I bought the thing, put a size 5 one on my Vette. 30lyrs jump range! Whoop!
Attempt to fly to a station 28lyrs away, JUMP EXCEEDS MAXIMUM FUEL USE OF 8T!

So don't waste time or materials on this at the moment I guess.
Unless someone can tell me I'm doing something wrong?

Try installing another fuel tank.
I'll give it a go even though I have enough fuel for the jump.
Looking at the bug reports installing the module does not alter the 'fuel per jump' stat so it's rendered useless.
I'm only glad I had guardian stuff on hand and didn't slave away at the guardian sites for ages.

Ok, ages? Really?

It took me a few days to solve the whole Guardian Logs mission, and I came away full of most of the Guardian items, including blueprints - only Guardian Sentinel Wreckage was not maxed out, and it certainly wasn't anything like slaving away.

I'm calling hyperbole on this.

My Guardian materials are now running low, but that's because I've unlocked all the Guardian tech. I did not not find the grind that bad. I am going to revisit the Guardian sites next week to restock for the shield, fsd, ship launch fighter and possible new ship based on Guardian tech.

Before or after the nerf? Its fun the first time to run the ruins, but pretty repetitive to do it 18+ times to unlock everything. How is it considered engaging to do the same thing over and over?

Agreed. I was out there for 4 days just to get the 12 weapon blueprints I needed, and it was maddening. I eventually just started ignoring the Sentinels at the end to make it go faster, but it still sucked.

It’s real pretty the first time, but there’s little to no entertainment value in repeating the mini-game.

Yeah, I got my gear when the obelisks were giving module stuff. Slightly hyperbolic yeah I'll give you that.
I just meant that I'm glad I had the gear on hand rather than going to the Guardian ruins specifically to unlock this bugged stuff.

I hope down the road there's more Guardian stuff. Like a massive Guardian vault that we have to solve puzzles in to get to the core for maybe the Guardian ship (which I have ~30 blue prints for).

Oh well bugs happen, hopefully they'll be back in game soon.
If anyone wanted to RP it, it's a manufacturers recall of faulty tech. Like an exploding mobile phone these days.

Because what else is there to do, really?

Why are we putting such effort into collecting these things?

So we can blow up other ships over and over?

So we can jump farther, to honk, scoop, point and wait over and over?

To load up on cargo at one station, jump to another to sell, to buy more cargo, to repeat over and over?

See where this is going, over and over, like Crimson and Clover?

i did, the fuel tank is bugged, but its my question is not to know if it is bugged due to fuel or if it works, i want to know if it is better than a reguler grade 5 engineer FSD (once the bug will be removed)

No idea, it added like 10ly to jump range but increased fuel usage per jump by 125%. Which is where it's "bugged". Also its a booster, not a FSD. Its what a shield booster is to a shield generator.

Please tell me feed have allowed us to attach this to the fsd, and it doesn't need can entire module slot,

We need things like this to be attached to Mini slot on the main module. Or allow us to attach like and srv or fighter attaches to the hangers.

Like a sub module of FSD

I'm literally parroting from reddit, but i think its an optional module.

Edit: Returned to reddit, it is indeed an optional module.
