Guardian Obelisk Data - Seriously?

So ... decided to run a Guardian site this evening. Done it once before for the FSD and quite fancy the Shield Reinforcement Modules.

Prepped my DBX, jumped out 900LY and ran the site twice. Was okay, I’d maybe go so far as to say I enjoyed it. Now, just need 24 Pattern Delta data scans ... gave up at the main site and went to a Ruin, been scanning obelisks for about an hour now. It’s “random” what you get - same obelisk won’t give you the same data every time. Current counts?

Alpha: 63
Beta: 81
Epsilon: 39
Gamma: 48

Delta? The one I actually want? 9. N.I.N.E. Seriously? This is ridiculous!!

I'm not sure why Ram Tah doesn't offer a Guardian material trading service. Getting Sentinel Wreckage Components can be a pain, too.

Same, I found Epsilon to be the harder data to get.

Sneaky devs programmed patterns in reverse proportion according to the site blueprint type .

I got the required 24 deltas eventually ... got like 80+ of everything else - over 100 Alpha! Ah well, at least I’ll never be short of anything else!!

Don't use the guardian sites for the data mats, it will take forever. Go to an ancient ruins site and use the obelisks there, it is a lot faster

I did some extensive testing, curious of "RNG".

Highest drop of Epsilon data is at this site type, find 2 specific obelisk and scan only them, area marked "O" :

Second highest Epsilon drop is at some Guardian structure, 3 specific obelisks (2 in group, 1 solo near "the ball") but slightly less data.

Some obelisks will produce many of specific type (position on site and in group), some almost nothing.

(I will try to dig out pics to confirm)

Okay this is interesting, will try that when I do my next grind.

RNG or not I was farming Epsilon data at Col 173 Sector QU-O D6-25 on several occasions, scanning only 2 obelisks.
This one and 3rd clock wise (or the second is 2 before, cannot recall)
