Guardian sites and relogs

I have the FSD booster, after all these years I have refused to go back for anything else, watched a few vids, the guy was just re-logging a ridiculous amount of times.

Is the above the only method? Are there enough sites for anyone not in a rush, happy to visit different sites as and when?

Cheers

You can filter by civilisation = Guardian, in the relevant sector quite a few systems pop up so you could go to those one by one.

(I did use the relog method to get my Guardian gear, which isn't great for immersion but my impatience won... I also benefited from the bug that gave you several blueprints at once when scanning Obelisks... so the whole experience was kind of ruined for me from the start anyways).

Yeah there are loads of sites if you want to take your time👍
Btw guardian module reinforcements are worth unlocking as they outstrip the normal ones. Gauss as well if you ever think you will get into AX.
If you want to grab keys (needed for some blueprints), don't forget to take some form of small laser. I think the third time i went out there i had removed all weapons from my DBX taxi. So i had to go back🤦‍♂️

Cheers Obi, have used the filters. Haven't checked the total number of sites. From what I remember, this guy relogged around 16 times for one unlock, no way am I doing that. Now if it's a case of I can visit 16 sites over the next few months, all good. Do you have to visit specific sites for certain upgrades?

Tbh not sure why I am bothering, just curious after the new site was found.

Depending on the site you get a different blueprint (weapon or module). The beacons give you something else (god if I could remember any of this... been ages) but as Zakal says you need a laser to trigger it. I don't think there's any indicator which site gives what, but you can check the relevant wiki pages to avoid frustration (unless the game does hint at it - would be interested to know).

Edit: ideal approach is probably just to go site to site and take what is given - frustration only occurs if you're having any specific items in mind that you want.

Not needed at all, not since they made the blueprints single pick up instead of multiple. It's possible the video was from that era.

If you fly from site to site, gathering materials from each, and getting the module/weapon/vessel data each time, by the time you have enough module/weapon/vessel data for them all, you will likely have enough of everything else.

The only exception to this, is obelisk data... (epsilon especially)

When they fixed the problem with the blueprint data, they neglected to fix this. It's not used for loads of things though.

But, yeah, just go from site to site, you'll have enough stuff if you are as you say, not in a rush.

EDIT: -
Remember to scan active obelisks whenever possible - and if you end up at some ruins instead of a structure, scan those too, for more obelisk data.

Thanks everyone, I was probably watching an old vid. Btw I did those beacons a while back, I assume you guys mean those massive floating structures in space? Shoot them for a light show, then collect data?

Actually, collect a physical object you put in your cargo bay (not a material)
You'll need it (maybe a few of them)
(Intentionally vague)

Yep, they release a key after the light show. Grab that, take it to the correct type of site, bobs yer uncle. Iirc they unlock the fighters...?
They are fun to fly, bit glass cannon though tbh. GL 🙂

5 years ingame, about to google RamTah missions 😂

Ram Tah mission is... rather arduous - though at least it's a thing to do with a specific goal, and you don't HAVE to do all of it to "complete" it.

I don't actually know much about the second mission - so... enjoy

Yeah i think how it was loosely intended was if you took the missions and viewed all the lore, by the end of the experience you'd have ample resources to unlock what you want. A bit of thinking and you could have it all done in one neat experience... quest?

Sadly for me, i kinda wanted the entires to be in the codex so i could read them again at leisure but....

I was so excited. Dragsham and whiskey level excited, when i finally mustered up the effort to commit to it. You should have seen my poor face when going to the codex after the first one. I flew the type-7 a few times around the guardian site in stunned disbelief then exploded my way home.

The Ram Tah stuff was a bit of a damp squib for me - I triggered it back in the days, and I think I prematurely 'completed' it by dropping off data. Not sure if it's possible to restart it again, mind you I've unlocked all the Guardian stuff so no need to go through that again. Wish I could revisit the whole shebang without using Google or relogging, just to see if you can manage without 3rd party information.

Ah yes, the fighters. Completely forgot about those as I barely ever use them, lol!

There are loads of guardian sites. I certainly don't fancy spending my leisure time logging in and out of games, so I also prefer to visit multiple sites, sometimes (actually most of the times) for no other purpose than just visiting them and playing "xeno-arqueologist".

You can get lists of know locations in these sites (together with loads of other awesome stuff):

This talk about guardian sites is making me want to go back... As soon as I finish my current crystalline shard sites run, I'll relocate to guardian space for a while. Unlockinf my first guardian module (obviously the FSD booster) was, back then, my best experience ever in this game. A proper space adventure.

Actually this is all I was interested in, I don't even use my FSD boosters now all ships except two explorers are carrier based. Need to check the stats, was looking at some extra canyon runners.

I have a feeling all the new guardian/thargiod tech will be ground based, or we'll have to unlock a bunch of new stuff when Odyssey rolls out.

Most of these modules are side grades to engineering?
