guest always thristy

i keep getting the little notification popping up telling me guests are thirsty which i dont understand because i have a bunch of drink shops already that no one goes to. im playing the challenge mode so i cant just keep adding shops that arent making any money. is there something im missing? when i did add new drink shops, none of the guests even went to them and i just ended up losing too much money every month

Check where the guest flow is (aka where there are more guests moving around) and add drink stalls there.

Mine are always thirsty too. I wonder if some beverages don't still thirst enough in game? Although, how well in real life do you stop your thirst with milkshake and coffee? [tongue]

I want lemonade and sodas in the game. [yum]

Do you have lots of people in ques? That have been queuing a while?

That was my issue, so adding priority passes, speeeding up the rides/reducing queuing paths sorted mine.

I get that message often also. Checking guest thoughts in management it showed that only 9% of the guests were thirsty, but yet the message is almost constant (and annoying).

queues are always filled, but i cant speed them up any faster. i already did everything i could to move the most people through each ride

yes thats my main issue, the notification just comes up too much

Have just done a little experiment. Turns out guests will go out of their way (mine crossed a bridge) for a drink (a gulpee was the only thing on the other side, and zero ttaffic without it)

So while SilverArrow's suggestion is basically right, put the drinks where the people are (more profitable), it's also possible the guests don't have much money left, so they're refusing because they can't afford the prices? Suggest an ATM might be worth a look at too.

i will try some more ATM's

thanks for the suggestions

Of course they are always thirsty, the only drinks they can purchase are Red Bull style energy drinks, slushies and coffee. I'm creating a theme park in the Desert Biome... Those poor guests can't even buy a glass of water!

Haha I know! their only options are diuretics! Yes I have noticed this too, I have plenty of drink stalls available and in busy areas, so that is not the issue. Maybe a bug?

You can place a drink shop on every corner but there'll be guests who still complain. The management to the game clearly has a lot of improvements needed

I've given up caring about their thirst.

One random guest I selected was complaining about being thirsty, I saw him walk RIGHT PAST two cow stalls, a slush, an energy, and coffee.
Sorry, but when you're one of THOSE types of customers, you can just leave. Please.

If they've got no money the guests can't buy a drink, any drink .. no matter the price, or how thirsty?
In my experiment above I used default prices, and guest walked best part of 100m just for a drink, no rides and no toilets added. So try 0$ and see if they still walk by? What's your park like for ATM's? Add some, and see?

Hmm, no ATM's - maybe that's why. I didn't bother to check his finances, lol.

If that really is the correlation (hope so, let us know) I like it .. A bit over obvious I think if the guest says "I haven't got any money" and player adds ATM like a robot.. Could be a couple of reasons for being thristy (?) = cool imo.

It honestly never occurred to me, because if I'm at a theme park and I'm out of money I'll go home. xD
I'll test it tonight and give feedback.

The parks doing well, with guests being thirsty being the only problem ( literally ).
