Guests ALWAYS Hungry/Thirsty?

Hi! Sorry if there's already a thread about this here, I couldn't find one.

I've been playing Planet zoo since release and there's one thing I just can't seem to crack- Guests are always in the yellow for hunger and thirst. I made sure to put shops all over the place in my newest franchise zoo and they're still complaining about being hungry and thirsty despite many of these shops having no visitors (probably because there's so many). I've also made sure to put many visible billboards advertising the food and drink stalls throughout my zoo. Is it even possible to get the guest hunger and thirst into the green?

Where did you place those shops? If they're too far away from the popular and most frequented areas of the zoo your guests probably won't go there. It also depends on the type of shop (e.g. water in hot climates and coffee in cold ones) whether or not guests want to go there. Scenery and trained staff help as well, it makes guests happier and they're more likely to go there and trained staff is faster when it comes to completing orders. Also make sure you have the staff rooms close by and enough vendors hired so no shop's ever unattended.

Maybe you could add a screen or two so we can see the park layout, that usually helps figuring this stuff out.

Though it also needs to be said that the guests really are way too focused on food and drink shops compared to anything else and it hasn't been fixed yet >.<

The guests' tolerance for walking, thirst and hunger is very unrealistic. In a realistic medium sized zoo one central food court/restaurant should be enough, with maybe some water fountains/vending machines spread sporadically. In PZ you need a food/drink item practically near every habitat.

Ignoring the issue of whether or not the needs are too high. Something I have found helps is to have two of the same shops near each other. So two gulpees or two water shops. Because if the queue for one is too big they will automatically go to the second one. If your shops are two different ones, even if they are both serving drinks, this seems to happen less.

Also make sure your shops are set back from the path a little so people can line up and that they are at 100% scenery so they are attractive. Remember you can also use the billboard signs to advertise them now as well.

For tricky spots in your zoo then I do use vending machines as well but not very often, only in areas that are a little walk away from main paths.

I never knew there was a connection between temperature and the types of drinks people will want! I assume it's the same with food, with ice cream selling better in hot areas and hot food selling better in cold ones. This is super helpful!

I like to think of this as a reference to Zoo Tycoon when guests would rage over "This zoo doesn't have enough dessert carts"
