This might sound like a rant but it's not at all, i want to give a constructive criticism but i'm not going to be soft, i don't know if this is a common topic but here we go:

The GUI, every single ship has the same GUI design and color, from a cheap ugly brick-like adder to an amazing, luxurious imperial cutter (i know that you can "change" the color tweaking some documents of the game, but you can't do that ingame) and this is just ridiculous, lazy and ugly, i mean, i find this something really obvious and the game was released on december of 2014, it's been almost 4 years.

I suggest to create different user interfaces for each ship manufacturers and enable a color costumization ingame, it cannot be that difficult.

It's not a matter of difficulty, it's a matter of standardization (otherwise tutorials and such would need to be done for each and every single ship manufacturer), and supporting that many different sets of code. Color customizations they said they'd like to do, but it's not on their immediate to-do list; they have bigger fish to fry. But different configurations are not in the works, and won't be.

Controls would be exactly the same so i cannot see the problem, besides, elite dangerous tutorials are pretty useless and really poor in content. What i'm talking about is a slightly redesign, not a dramatical change, so the information would be on the same place but looking a bit different, so the code would be mostly the same if not the same. Basically: it would be a different skin.

As a player you would have to be really dumb (no offense to you or anyone in particular) to not know what to do when you buy a different ship in this case.

Speaking personally, I would have zero issue if the HUD was in fact structurally different between manufacturers, and would find it creating an impression of a more detailed world with the impression that each was designed by people with different worldviews and design philosophies. But I also have to acknowledge I'm part of a perhaps tiny minority of players who relish in the notion of greater technical complexity in a setting involving starships.

But the solution to that could be just a simple setting, so that we have the "stock" option, as the galaxy agreed standard, and then we have the manufacturers/etc own design and you as a the CMDR get to choose what setting you would like.

So now we could go out and have more of these designs unlocked by getting allied to various factions/buying ships from different manufacturers, etc, etc
