Guide: Where to unlock every animal in Chaos Theory and Challenge Mode

So, since I've seen this question frequently before, I'm deciding to make a guide. This guide only contains the Chaos Theory scenarios in which you can research animals (so no JPIII or Fallen Kingdom), and easy challenge mode (since the higher difficulty levels may limit species further on some some maps). I haven't unlocked the last challange mode map yet, but I'll get back to playing some of it later and update accordingly. Done!

Best way to unlock them quickly:
-first, run Campaign Mode, it's short and sweet, also make sure you don't complete the missions until you've collected all the dinosaurs you can capture, easiest way to do it is to not put viewing galleries on the enclosures until you're done
-second, run Chaos Theory missions, unlock all the dinosaurs available in them
-third, run Challenge Mode missions on Easy and focus on all the dinosaurs you haven't unlocked the other two ways, this is also where you're going to get a lot of the skin colors

I was just focusing in the 'where?' in my post, but these are some good and solid tips too. Thanks for your contribution.

Shouldn't we go with Challenge mode before Chaos since it's easier than Chaos?

So the campaign mode doesn't unlock any dinosaurs?
I'm only on the 2nd campaign and haven't been told by the game to research anything just yet and was curious.

It does, but not all that many and I didn't want to go through each level again to find what is found where. And I didn't include JPIII or Fallen Kingdon either for one simple reason: No science unlock tree. Because just looking at that made it a whole lot easier for me to compile the list.
There's also always live captures, which - in challange mode at least - seem to be drawn randomly.

Indominus rex and Indoraptor are only unlocked in their Chaos Mode missions, and those modes also give you a lot of dinosaurs for free without needing to dig them up and incubate them. Less of that to do in the Challenge Mode.

You'll get a fair few dinosaurs, and three flying reptiles, just remember to not complete the missions until you've gotten all the creatures from the live captures that you need to unlock.

One thing I found was really nice is that all the dinosaurs you get in the campaign are unlocked and at 100% in sandbox. Though it's just a few. Depending on what Dinosaurs you choose in campaign of course. Like I never I got the Dilophosaurs in campaign so I don't have them unlocked. Anything you didn't unlock in campaign can be unlocked in other places. So if you played the campaign you should have some dinosaurs unlocked already.

I have completed the entire Fallen Kingdom mission and not once was Indoraptor mentioned. I admittedly didn't actively look for him either.

No. both can be unlocked in NW USA.

I unlocked everything through campaign and challenge easy mode.

Indoraptor is NW USA only I guess

There really needs to be an info tab next to each locked species that says where they can be unlocked. I'm on my 3rd challenge map. Skipped UK but I guess I'll have to do that one too to get nigersaurus. Canada was aggravating. But Germany was easy and nwus has been easy so far.

It's also aggravating you have to incubate the species to unlock them. I had to go back to jp, San Diego, and jw to incubate species to unlock them.

But I'm almost done now.

You can directly capture nigersaurus in the beginning of the UK challenge, they are cute!

You don't have to incubate if you can capture them in the wild/expedition.

Thanks for the knowledge on the Niger. Now whats up with cryo? I unlocked it through research in the 1st US map.. but there's no dig site so do I have to wait for a live capture missions? Or replay campaign or what?
