Habitat Cleanliness is always low even when cleaned?

My Peafowl's habitat on Franchise is always around 50% cleanliness and raises to 61% when it gets cleaned. But then drops back down in like 2 minutes and there's only 4 Adults in there! It won't go any higher either yet the enclosure is spotless. 😕

Hey KaoRu, i had same iussues. If you have any items in habitat that are above the ground (for example wooden floor), it might be that poopoo is below.
Workers do not clean in this case.

Sounds like you need more keeps and a work zone to dedicate a couple of Keepers on that enclosure. I had that issue with peafowls especially when they started to breed, very messy! I had to put the enclosure into a dedicated Keeper work zone (a work zone for Keepers has to include a staff room and keeper hut for max effectiveness). I put 3 keepers in that work zone to keep them constantly clean and fed.

I also noticed one of the food enrichment items had rolled away and got stuck bobbing up and down in the water, so this was not refreshed. I reset that enrichment item so it went back to its originall location and I noticed it displaying the green/yellow gas of rotting food, a Keeper soon came along and cleaned that.

No there is something else going on. My Gharial's habitat is the same way. A keeper will come in and clean and get it up to 99% then, and this is NOT hyperbole, I watched her walk out of the habitat, turn the corner and get about 20 feet down the path and suddenly the habitat was at 53% cleanliness again. It went from 99% to 53% in about 1 minute real time.

Why? Because she brought food, then cleaned. The animals then went and ate, and after eating pooped everywhere.

Mine was due to the climbing items in the habitat and animal waste wasn't being cleaned up. I have to move it every year and then the keepers clean it up and goes back to 100%. Any space the keeper can't get to... it will constantly keep the cleanliness % low. Not ideal that we have to move around things all the time with all the different needs of the park... but it's currently a mechanic of the game.

But like I said the keepers ARE cleaning it. Its just getting instantly filthy again.

Agreed. I had to keep calling a keeper back every 3 seconds in mine. My turtles had a shelter on non-level land and their waste was dropping below the shelter. My gorillas had a climbing element and it would drop down and keepers wouldn't be able to clean under it. My only suggestion is try to move something around and see if that helps. When I moved things... even if they ate and then went to the bathroom, it only dropped a few % points.

I'm sorry I could assist more. Just trying to provide some insight into what helped me :)

I'm just saying there are two problems here. The first is as you say, essentially poop getting where it can't be cleaned and then the cleanliness will never go up.

The other is the habitat DOES get cleaned, the cleanliness goes up to 100% or close to it, but them IMMEDIATELY drops. Moving things around isn't going to help in this scenario.

They have a wooden shelter with the floor underground (the wooden shelter preset)....Could be that. 🤔 I will have to check when I get back to my computer.

I always remove that bottom piece. What purpose does it serve?
No idea. 😆 I only did it bcuz my tortoise were being fussy with hard shelter even though I built them one out of ROCKS....So I said f*ck you and got one of the presets which in a tortoise enclosure looks MASSIVE. So I went with the smallest woooden one and saw that there was a bit of a step to get onto it and thought the Tortoise's might not be able to get on so I put it under the earth and it actually made it look better so now I do that everytime I use that preset. 🤣

I had the same problem - kept calling the keepers in but never got it above 60%. Then I moved the shelter and found that it had been built on a load of poop, so have a look there1

Yeah but instead of pushing it into the ground you can just delete the bottom :) That's what I do anyway.

I've also had this but with my crocs - the much-lauded poop physics, whilst great, also mean that it rolls into the bottom of the body of water in their exhibit and as such it is never cleaned... seems like something that should have come up in testing?

OKAY! I've figured it out. It was definitely bcuz the shelter was half underground. But I still had problems after with it...I deleted the shelter to get them to clean it. Done. Then I pressed CTRL + Z to bring it back. SO. Some time later the keepers for some reason couldn't clean under the shelter even though it wasn't under the earth and I had deleted the flooring. I figured out that with the floor...It gives the roof height. So the keepers wouldn't be able to fit underneath the shelter if it's not tall enough. Make sense? So eventually I had to get the shelter with the curved roof. BUT THEN. I left the floor on one of my shelters in another exhibit and the b*stard keepers still wouldn't clean it (it wasn't in the ground either. Just placed as it was above ground). SO. I then figured out that bcuz the floor created a step the stupid keepers didn't know how to lift a damn leg and clean on top of it....So now the floors are gone and I had to add some logs to make the shelters higher....I swear to- 😤

If you have poop within a building, simply hit "Move", raise the building above the ground, call the keeper, and when they're finished cleaning, lower the building back down to where it was. This should fix it.
