Habitat Layout

Using the bears as an example, I hope to make most of my habitats that share a theme (bears for example) look something like this. It will, of course, be much less square and structured with more of a wandering path around the animals in their own natural habitats, as if you happened upon them in the woods. The shelters for the animals will look like caves with rock exteriors but block wall interiors with sleeping pads so the animals can have some privacy if they need it. The Keeper Hut is off the guests path and hidden from view in the compound. I decided to go with this design after watching several videos of real zoos. They seem to have rows of habitats next to each other, all along one path. To be honest, they didn't look very appealing, but you do get to see the animals.

I would suggest possibly putting the staff room in the center there as well, so whoever is responsible for those 4 enclosures don't ever need to leave... Hotel Californiaaa.

On my penciled zoo layout idea I have the same type of setup planned except that mine is more of a circle with each animal getting a slice of the pie. I have all the needed staff buildings in the center so the staff never have to leave the circle..

Mine might include one or two more animals, it just depends on which group it is. But all groups of habitats will be similar and have a very natural, meandering layout. It will not be this grid-style look. I want the guest paths to have a river type of feel in that they wander, turn and flow around the habitats. This is closer to how it will be where, from the left foreground, guests have passed one habitat, are at the lions habitat and will continue around the bend to another habitat with the compound in the center where you see those rocks.
