I've almost got enough free Arx together to spend it on the Adder ship kit which I almost purchased with real money (via Arx) but decided against it in the end, I might just rage buy that out of spite and in protest.

If only Midnight Black was still deep matte black and not shiny grey... makes the name of my Adder with it applied kind of non-sensical.

I'll only get an Adder if they do Apex paint jobs.

Also, it's not just the bought paint jobs that look weird. A few updates ago the default SRV paint job turned from graphite/black to brushed metal and hasn't recovered since.

Lol, I bet we'll get the occassional new player claiming to found aliens after running into an ectoplasm player. :p Not going for any of this stuff myself but its harmless fun. Holding my arx for the inevitable Cobra mk4 chrome paint and ship kit. Which is inevitable, right FD?

There's another thing that annoyed me (yes, it's relentless!).

You know those bog standard vibrant paints (blue, red, green, etc., very cheap) - they used to have a nice metallic shine to them in the beginning, and in fact looked better than in Horizons.

Of course those got "fixed" to make them the same drab semi-gloss style again. I think the SRV ones are still untouched though, I'd need to check.

I have the chrome Dolphin, which still looks different but acceptable if it weren't for the look of the cockpit glass (smokey and semi-reflective instead of deep black and very reflective). I also have some galvanized paint jobs for the SRV, Anaconda and Cutter and they still look nothing like their Horizons counterparts (which is ridiculously apparent if you look at the pictures in the left hand menu). The colours are off and they again don't look as shiny and metallic as they used to do.

The Pink ecto is pretty much white, but the x-ray is proper pink - are the other ectos all quite white? I think I've heard that said ...

I can tell you that I can't look at my Chromed Phantom paintjob with the shipkit applied anymore because the materials look different between the two - the ship hull is a shiny, reflective one, and the kit parts are more like the less shiny, more metallic/semi-gloss version like it looks in Horizons. Darn pity because I normally like both paint and kit on the ship.

@Frop - they fixed Galvanised for my Vulture & Cutter (Green was the worst one), and from what I can tell all the Stygian ones. Almost preferred those the way they were in EDO initially but now they do look very much like in Horizons.

The Midnight Black ones hurt me the most still - got about 20 of those so for all the ships I care about, and they look nothing like they do in Horizons. They used to be my "if I had only one choice" type skins, as every ship looked good with them, but now they're more like Tactical Graphite looks in Horizons now.

Couldnt help but notice how vastly better the lightning/reflection is in EDO...
