Has something changed

I played the game at launch then shelved it for a while but have just come back. I cant seem to find any of the standard prebuilt staff facilities or even animal shelters. Is there a tick box i should be ticking or where they removed in a patch some time ago?

All i have is hay bedding for shelters and the basic cube units for staff facilities

have you researched everything for the animals?

Are you playing Franchise or Challenge? If so, you have to research them before you can see them

im playing franchise. i think i may have been playing challenge before.

Then you have to do mechanic research to unlock them (You only have to do it once, then it is unlocked for all franchise zoo's you make)
