Don't get your hopes up - there were eight galaxies and billions of stars, but wireframe, monochrome graphics, no legs and no landing on planets.So if I press it instead of billion planets and stars I can only explore few millions but I have legs and atmospheric planets ...I guess we have a deal!

The keypad shaped roughly like a hand in SenseiMatty's picture seems to have been based on another device that was around at the same time as the BBC-B Computer, the Microwriter. This was a chording keypad that could enter any character on a standard keyboard using combinations of buttons. Proficient users could enter text at good speed, literally with one hand tied behind their backs.
Quite how the Microwriter's six buttons translate to a multitude of touch sensitive areas is something FD's graphic designers must answer.
Note he is wearing one of those computer communicator thingies on his wrist, as discussed in a previous Galnet article ?
