Hatred (the game)

Y

You're giving this game far too much credit. Go watch TB's review or something because frankly the game is not particularly special in any way other than the fact it inspired a big wave of clickbait articles and pompous nonsense.

Yeah thanks. I tried to watch TB review but I'm not enjoying listening to him much so I skipped to the end. All in all I managed to understand it's not that good game in terms of gameplay decisions anyway and the chance that it will be popular is kinda slim. I guess now it will fall under the category of arguing for the sake of arguing so I just better forget about this game and be done with it. Thank you for your input everybody!

What's wrong with TB?

A bit aggressive approach to a discussion don't you think? I expressed my opinion and you are disagree with it. Fine. But would you be pleased if I brand everything you just said as "rubbish" too?

In my original statement I provided plenty of games with rather dubious plots and activities. GTA just one of them. Postal 2 is even more crazier so what? That was not my point. Those games were giving you a choice, different approach to solve ingame quests, missions and such through various means. Game which have "Kill All Humans" as a plot behind it are somewhat different in my book. It's not "kill all bad guys" or "save the princess" either.

Apologies if I sounded aggressive, wasn't my intention. I didn't brand everything you've said as rubbish though, only the parts that I genuinely thought were, like justifying GTA's violence and brutality with it's good storyline and yet dismissing Hatred - because, by analogy, it doesn't have a good storyline? You didn't even know that at the time and the pure fact of saying that GTA is OK because it's a great story is just wrong.

Also saying that games like Carmageddon, Red Faction, Postal 2 and GTA don't force you to take the aggressive, brutal and violent stance is ridiculous. Give me an example in those games where you can sort things out in a non-violent and peaceful way or where you can be a good guy and don't kill, torture or otherwise damage other people and their property. There may be an odd mission or two that allow for that kind of approach in those games, but doesn't mean the remaining 99% of the game isn't forcing you to be a bad boy.

I'm sorry, but that's what I genuinely think about these statements (the statements, not you directly).
