Have F1's rules changed this year? Or is this a major bug?

Hi all,

After the debacle that was Abu Dhabi last year, I'm sorry to say that I decided to boycott F1. As a result, I have no idea if there have been any rule changes this year. Specifically, I'm talking about the rule that used to exist that meant that all cars that made it to Q3, had to start the race on the tyres that they did their fastest lap on in Q2.

Is this rule still a thing?

If so, we have a significant bug in the game, as, if you pause the race immediately at the start, and then check everyone's tyres, everyone has tyres at 99%. Obviously, all the cars in the top ten (barring penalties, rain, etc., of course) should be on tyres that have done one qualifying run, and, therefore, should be significantly below 99%.

As I said above, this may be due to a rule change I know nothing about, and I'm happy to be corrected on this if that's the case.

Since I no longer watch the real F1, F1 Manager gives me the F1 fix that I'm missing, so thanks very much for creating such a good game.

Regards,

Chuda

only changes is for gearboxes for 2022. 4 max.

In qualifying and the race, the F1 tyre rules are simple to understand. If a driver gets throughout to the final part of qualifying on a Saturday, they must start the race on the exact set of tyres they got through to Q3 on. In 2022, the tyres have been changed from 13 inch to 18 inches in diameter.

In 2022, this rule has been scrapped.

It's a free choice for everybody to decide which tyre to start on.
So it no longer matters on which tyre you qualified in Q2.

In case you are inerested, you can find the requlations here:
