Head height in Oculus

Hi everyone
can someone pls help, I have got ED up and running in VR, but my viewpoint is from the lap of the pilot and not the head, how do I remedy this without standing at my computer system.
Thanks in advance

There's an option in your control settings in ED to bind a key to reset the HMD orientation. You'll want to bind a button or key for this. I used spacebar for a while, so that I could just slap that every time I start ED. Now I use a separate physical button.

If that fails, go into Oculus -> device and run the HMD setup again, making sure you are in the desired position in the process.

The headset orientation reset only resets certain aspects of your position, and I don't remember which atm.

If you have the Oculus controller, I pressed the menu button and then selected the option to reorient. Then you can resume the game and find that you're adjusted to the new position.

FWIW, I found the height parameter you can specify inside the Oculus software (I set it up along with the Touch Controllers and that requires standing) not working optimally when sitting at the desktop and changed that to 140 cm. Now the software might think I'm a Kender, but my initial position is much better now. Ingame, I use both the Oculus controller reorient option (on the right side of the VR menu) and the ED headset orientation key (actually, I put that on a Voice Attack command), whatever fits me best (the latter one unfortunately doesn't work when docked). I do recenters rather frequently, as my position at the desk changes over time during longer sessions.
