Heads up for anyone reinstalling elite.

It looks like you may loose the record of visited systems on the galaxy map. I know some may be aware of this but some are not.

I learnt the hard way...

Is there a certain file that you can keep with the systems data and just manually delete the others?

I ve just tried uninstalling again and it doesn't give any additional options, so not sure if there is any way round it.

It did for me noticeably but not enough. The changes I made that made a big difference were all to my router.

Doesn't not deleting your save file work? Or alternatively send your savefile to the XBox cloud?

I explained in another thread how to do this manually without wiping your local saves. It works with other games anyway.

As long as its a console I would agree, I wouldn't agree with putting a PC into a DMZ zone though

True true. Its where consoles become a little less plug n play. Especially if you are with BT and thus subjected to their abomination of a "router"

You can choose not to delete locally stored data. Its separate file in the Xbox.
