Why not heal the rift between Bell and Braben this way we can get the two titans of Elite together to really make ED shine. After all it took the two of them to make Elite and the direction it currently is going in is a more clinical financial one maybe we need a Bell perspective

Even if the entire original dev team miraculously agreed to reunite, they would also have to be together for extended periods of time. Past grievances would need to be forgiven and forgotten. Given the intractability and hubris of the human ego, that is not going to happen.

The most intractable are alpha individuals accustomed to wielding unquestioned power.

Frontier, with the launch of Odyssey deliberately mislead its playerbase, many of whom were kickstarter backers who gave Mr. Braben the werewithal to start his company in the first place.

Would you trust someone who treated a friend in the same fashion? Would sincere gratitude not imply more respect?

Change is inevitable. Yes, as a result negative things happen, but also positive.
