help! How can I stop steamvr?

Edit: a friend found a solution. ( https://github.com/W-Drew/SteamVR-Toggle )

Okay so I recently got some vr stuff in the form of my phone, goggles and trinusVR. not great but okay for things like VRCHAT
NOT ELITE

As much as I want to enjoy elite in VR I CAN'T PLAY ELITE VR ON MY SETUP.

Now I keep running in an issue where steamVR auto starts and shuts down elite whenever I start elite.

I tried looking for a solution and people mentioned going to settings>developer>uncheck start steamvr.

I tried looking for this and found nothing. All the settings people recommend to set/uncheck/what-what do not exist

Others say go into elite dangerous's launcher and uncheck launch steamvr there. This does not exist either.

No I do not have the steam version of elite dangerous.
I have the stand alone version of elite dangerous.
I cannot access the in game settings screen as steamvr keeps closing the game the moment it starts.
TrinusVR has no settings either. TrinusVR doesn't even launch. Uninstalling TrinusVR does nothing for this situation.
Even with trinusVR OFF and my phone OFF and not connected this still happens.

Right now I cannot play elite.

The only workaround I can find is to uninstall steamvr when I want to play elite. WHICH IS NOT A SOLUTION.

I have a feeling I am doing something stupid and something obvious I am missing so if I am please do say.

Okay
A friend from my group found a solution
a simple ap that launches and disables steamvr

IT WORKS.
Its all I wanted. a button.

Thank you everyone for their efforts and assistance

Maybe because you didn't leave a space between the /switch and the ", it must have a space.

I see you have it sorted anyway, but just for future reference if you are adding switches you must leave a space between the switch and the last character of he command line.
tried. still says no. but the thing I have now works fine thank you.
Don't use Single-quotes inside a string which is embedded in Double-quotes.
Remove the single quotes (this are rules for data-strings you must obey due to the operating system and how it chews the data you provide in the shortcut).
E:\Games\Frontier\EDLaunch2\EDLaunch.exe /novr
tried. still says no. but the thing I have now works fine thank you.
