Help, I need Ship Rats!

Seeing as I missed the rendezvous yesterday and when I arrived at the tea party camp it was clear that the reality glitches continue as there weren't even any tyre tracks...this planet is not right I tell you, although I'm not in a rush to leave, so I decided to do what explorers do....started exploring.

Just a few pics to start

From 250Km above basecamp I spot a mountain on the horizon

Some extreme features on this planet, great to fly over - a tourist destination perhaps?

I've put it in as a suggestion with all credit to our lonely intrepid explorer.

Isn't it possible to just logout of the game, login again and recall the ship?
Logged in and out a couple times now over the days, that can't fix an exploed Asp:

Logging into the non-horizon version would probably get me in the orbit of the planet, but I still have no ship. And as CMDR Havalok said: Where would be the fun in that? :D
btw. great Galnet Articel!

And I did never try to steal a sidewinder, all lies! I... äh... just wanted to go on the Toilet there

Ouch! You don't want that :O. I have flown the better part of my pilot life in a sidewinder and if it has a toilet at all it is one of those portable human excretion recycling units. yuk! 300 years of technical advancements and we have still problems with fitting, pipes and hoses, especially around the unit that filters the water from the more substantial part...

Stay away from it,
CMDR Jermus

If you make it to the exit - it's smooth driving all the way to the top. The other valleys also lead to freedom... eventually. Looks easy from up here, but I'm sure Peregrinus video will show a different reality on the ground. Also "Intersection of Doom" will probably be renamed "Intersection of tea and biscuits" by the time you guys arrive.

Exit point POW the ground. Drove all the way from the bottom.

Found another SRV wreck close to the exit point. Notice I have recalled my ship in the backround - ah, how easy we forget the everyday comforts.

Cargo left behind could suggest that it was somebody trying to bring you supplies.

Not sure about the gold. Female admirer perhaps.

Nice one Flankhard, it looks really easy from the air doesn't it!? LOL
If the canyon floor were smooth & flat then it would be a doddle, although Bomba got lucky IMO, I took a cruise around the planet and checked out some of the other canyons and many had no flat areas for landing, making driving even more difficult.

kudos on the avatar BTW, fantastic little game :)

Yeah, there is mountains and canyons inside the canyon. I had a POI near the intersection which I had to abandon because of it. Not to mention he has got to keep himself supplied to fix and refuel the SRV. If he and the guys helping him make it out - climbing Mount Everest is going to feel like a walk in the park.

I'm flying low along that route now and it looks viable, might take a while though.
I know the positions on the map are approximates. But it is my understanding that most of that distance was covered yesterday. They went from 15.xxxx to 11.xxxx while drinking tea!!! I know I'll get banned for saying this, but if they cut down on tea.....
