General / Off-Topic Help !! Last Ninja IV

Those who remember Elite must remember the " Last Ninja " Series especially on the good old C64...

Well System 3 has hinted at a new version...Now I can imagine it like " Tomb Raider Guardian of light " with its amazing isometric scrolling 3D engine...I have posted saying it could be funded via a kick starter trying to maybe get them to go down that road...wouldn't that be fun :)

If anyone else is a big fan I wonder if we can get the ball rolling on this one.....

Tell em I sent you ..check here and leave a comment :)

Heres how it could look ...And if you haven't played this ...you should :)

I remember when I had the spectrum I was ticked off that I couldn't play The Last Ninja. after a few years I did play it and found it bloody difficult to handle, but it was a dam fine game.

on a side not those who remember Saboteur by Durell software there is a game that reminds me of it called. Mark of the Ninja

you are a star

call me thick;) but can you give me a run down on how I start up 1&2. cant seem to locate the files. the emulator starts but ive never used a C64.

Mark of the Ninja is £3 on Steam at the moment, by the way. I'm just getting started, but it seems like it will be quite a fun way to pass a few hours.

Oh, and I've left a 'yes please' message for system 3 to read.

Sorry mate there was a fault with my upload :(

If you grab it again it will work......Ninja 1 and 2 are Disk files and take time to load ( about 3 mins ) and sometimes need a spacebar prompt on the main screens etc

squiggly lines means its loading on the C64 :)

But if you download it again you will see 1 & 2 now work fine

That's an absolute steal...Mark of the Ninja is extremely well produced and one of the best stealth games I've played in a long time. Give them your money. ;)

This screenshot brings back memories!

At first I really saw it as a standing up wall blocking the road. So I didn't even try climbing down! It took me days to figure out getting to the next screen :(

very frustrating ;)

I also spent hours trying to get pass the spider in the sewers :S

Thanks everyone who posted a message on the System 3 link ...They are all visible now ....Gonna start attacking the C64 sites now.....If System 3 don't ban me they may make the game :D

I see to remember having a love/hate relationship with the last ninja.

there was one jump in particular that I would blow all my lives on and then ragequit.

Since my gaming only started in 1988 with an Amiga 500, I have played Last Ninja on my friend's C64, but never long enough to have a shot at coming far in it. Then I watched a "longplay" of it 20 years later. Turns out it's a 20 minute game. :D
