Help me out fellow cmdrs

So, I'm abroad for work.

The place I will be working has forbidden any kind of device that may have a webcam or camera on it.

I have my thrusty Alienware (that I use as my desktop substitute when I'm abroad) webcam removed, but even so I might not be able to let it pass through controll (I'm in an Arabic country and they are not really friendly with us, every excuse to treat us badly is good for them)

Is there any gaming laptop out there, capable to run ED decently without integrated webcam? Can anyone help me in the search? I have limited time and connection, so here I am asking for your help fellow cmdrs.

I'm Italian, living in México, mechanical engineer, construction/site manager as a profession on oil and gas and geothermal industry, actually in the United Arab Emirates for an offshore project (it's an island, not an actual offshore platform, but it is managed as an offshore platform)

Gaming, and ED in particular are my way to unplug from work and relax

They can, if it comes down to it, build a web-cam-free laptop.

The Webcam is a nigh ubiquitous pest these days, so this might just be your best bet.

Will try to get in touch with them as soon as possible, meanwhile I hope I could get my current laptop to pass through the military check out. Point is (and what's bothering me a lot) that having removed the webcam I'm complying with their requirements. But even so, even if they look at the laptop with the empty spot where the camera was, is highly probably that they'll try to confiscate it, just for the pleasure of it. Believe me it's really hard to not be racist once they abuse their position only for their own pleasure on doing so with foreign people.

Guys I'm having an hard time keeping my self under control with those people. It's highly frustrating...

Hi, try this Arab site as well, they deliver in your region. I would suggest you contact them direct (email or call) and they can tell you which gaming laptops have no camera, if any. Even if it's not a gaming laptop, a good one without a camera should have enough CPU and graphics power to make ED playable. I like the MSI range but without a camera I'm not so sure.
