When will the Update come out? With the New Engineer system and everything. I just got murderously murdered by a fully engineered ORCA today in my a rated conda. And i dont want to start Engineering until the new BETTER system comes out.

The transition to the new system is actually going to be pretty good. There's no real downside to starting your engineering now. Go for it!

I recommend you g5 everything now, then refine from the top of g4 in the new system. It will save you time and mats.

Its worth getting module to level 5 instantly on old. When it comes in... you will save your self a few rolls getting through levels 1 to 4

Yeah. Getting invitations and doing the missions for the engineers to get access to them won't change. And I suspect most blueprint recipes are close or similar to the old ones, so gather bunches of materials can be done beforehand.

As for loosing your Conda, you may want o play in Private Group or Solo until you have your ship modified to your satisfaction. That or stay out of the "Hot Spots".

Also sorry i meant i NEARLY lost my conda. Because i played fair and actually went to supercruise. right after i clicked exit he starts to interdict me again but the game pulled me out already so

I already have all the engineers unlocked so I didn't research this during the beta, but aren't the unlock requirements for the various engineers still pretty much the same?

I know ranking them up is not the same and arguably not as important, but I thought the unlocks were the same.

Could be wrong.
