I havent played ED for about 5 years when I was using Horizons at the time, and so decided to get Odysees and give it another bash. Upon clicking my old profile (Solo play option) after several minutes it said could not connect to the servers, error code sidewinder orange. I have a fantastic internet connection so its not that and am logged in through stead (I synced both the frontier account and Steam) so am baffled what's wrong. Really hoping I dont have to start again.

The matchmaking servers have been kind of flaky recently.
I've heard of particular issues in Oceania, although judging by the time you might not live there (either that or you're a very early riser or should really go to bed!)
It might be worthwhile to restart your router and see if that has any effect.

I get an Orange Sidewinder the first time I try to load the game every time since Trailblazers. That's normal now. Unless they wind back this worthless update.
Actually I have been getting that annoying circular "Working" thing on starting the launcher - I figured it might be something to do with me changing broadband provider. I have no idea why that would slow the logging-in process as it is the same IP addy, just a brand-change of BT to EE (no choice but to accept the change). So it would be nice if it wasn't that but just another knock-on from this nonsensical "trailblazers".
