Help needed with Elite VR

Hi,

I have an Oculus Quest 2 and I've been playing Elite in VR for the past few days via Oculus Link without any major issues.

I wanted to play a little tonight but for some unknown reason I am unable to start Elite in VR.
Whenever I try (just after the planet generation and shader preparation) I get a Login Error message.
I am using the FDev launcher (no Steam) and I am logged in the launcher, I can play in 2D but in VR it suddenly doesn't work.

Anyone has any ideas?

in graphics options is hmd still selected as primary display not that I own one but I would check that first maybe
but to re authenticate use the launcher log off machine function

Flat version authenticates without problems. It's only the VR version that is causing problems - but I am launching the game through the same launcher.

if using log of machine wont authenticate vr as well I am at a loss sorry...…………..

Exactly the same problem. Been this way for a month. Reset PC, router, everything.

Feeling kind of ripped off to be honest. I bought this game to play in VR. Poking around the internet, I see this has been an ongoing problem for over a year.

Does anyone at Frontier read these forums?

Rarely. If you encounter an issue with your setup (like this one - VR in general works fine for other people), you'll need to open a ticket with support. If you encounter a bug in the game, you'll need to open a bug report (or, more likely, add your comment to an existing one).

So I figured out my login problem. I was starting the game from my oculus app. When I start the game from steam, login works.

However, there is a frame hitch about every second that makes the game unplayable now. I give up.
