Horizons Help. Voice Attack keeps 'unlearning' my voice profile...

With all of the other things that have been going on this problem has dropped down the priority list somewhat, but I'd like to throw it in there while I try and learn about Shields so that this issue is addressed next...

I've been using Voice Attack for a while. I did the voice recognition training etc and Voice Attack works fine for about a week. It then slowly starts to 'unlearn' my voice profile over about another week to the point that it becomes useless and ceases to perform any voice commands.

My preliminary investigations taught me I had to delete my voice recognition profile and then rebuild it...

After doing this I find i go through the same cycle again, works for about a week, crappy for another week before ceasing to work at all.

As is, it's just not worth my time doing the voice recognition training every week to use this app...

I'd really appreciate a permanent solution to this problem! Any suggestions please?

PS I've tried a couple of different mics too, same results.

This is more than likely a Micro$oft issue rather than Voice Attack.
Export your voice recognition profile and save it somewhere safe as soon as you have completed the training.
I usually go through the voice training part at least 3 times.

I had a similar problem problem, try this fix it worked for me: http://voiceattack.com/SMF/index.php?topic=64.0. This is creating a new profile but keeping your old and just setting the new one to default.

This is pretty much what I have already tried... Create a new profile and set it to default... Same thing happens though, after about a week it's corrupted again, forcing me to redo it all over again.

So what you are suggesting is that I backup the new voice profile and then overwrite the corrupted one every week or so?

I hope there is a better solution to this than weekly over writes as that will get tiresome...

At least you won't have to run through the voice training over and over again, it'll only take you minutes rather than hours

Very true [heart] I'll certainly do that for now. But I'd like to know what is causing the profile corruption in the first place if at all possible...
