try to load and unload in different slots, I had the same issue and suddenly it worked.Yep.
Damn, the loadout trick worked with the dominator trch but not with the maverick, weird...

You mean choosing another loadout? Or in the customisation menu?try to load and unload in different slots, I had the same issue and suddenly it worked.
Not really, here you can take cover, you can't do that in space, when you get upgraded suit or weapons, you will still be challenged depending on where you are, they will keep calling in guards. As others have said, I worry about a nerf too simply because I'm sure fully engineered suits and weapons will make it a cakewalk.
Right now it's probably like trying to fight in a ship CZ with a unengineered ship.
Yeah i have been struggling that way too, get a fine, so i sit down for an hour or 90 minutes and actually set myself further back in the gameI feel the AI is way to aggressive. Instead of trying to use cover and defense, they just yolo you. Except for snipers, they are the only one with a working brain.
And it's too punishing if I die. Not worth the risk.
I'd like to have a solid firefight, but if I die there, then the mission fail, and I need to go back empty handed to the quest giver and take another quest, which takes several minutes.
Or worse, I have a fine (which happen often in EDO), I'm sent into jail, and it takes forever to get back.
I realized yesterday you get a fine for firing your SRV. On pirates. In abandoned outpost. That you are tasked to restore.Yeah i have been struggling that way too, get a fine, so i sit down for an hour or 90 minutes and actually set myself further back in the game
Great story. At least you didn't get stuck in one of the prison cells. I went in into one of them after restoring power, and the doors closed on me...I've been through a very fun restore power mission.
A vast deserted settlement, I went on resore power, then I was looking around, looting, inside a warehouse I was suddenly stuck inside, doors were not opening anymore.
I first thougt it was a bug, then I noticed, than everything was back down, no more power... Weird...
I managed to get out overcharging doors, look around and who huge imperial clipper docked, scavengers all other the place, they had stolen the power regulator turning the power down locking me in, and I still had to extinguish fire...
Was fun.
LOL they was afraid you would be to dangerous to let out again.Great story. At least you didn't get stuck in one of the prison cells. I went in into one of them after restoring power, and the doors closed on me...
Players or NPC'sI've been through a very fun restore power mission.

If it was NPC's that would be awesome!!!I did not scan the ship, but there was npc's al around and I didn't see any player.
For the mercenary rank; I'm not sure if it' bugged or if the missions like restore power or kill scavengers doesn't count for it...
Interesting. Hopefully there are more random encounters we don't know about. Few questions though:I've been through a very fun restore power mission.

Most of the time I deactivate the alarms when I see the panel, not sure I did this time, but not all the fire was extinguished when it happened so if I remember correctly it was still a bit chaotic with red lights... But I don't remember any specific alarm or announcement, but it could be just me not paying attention.Interesting. Hopefully there are more random encounters we don't know about. Few questions though:
- Wasn't there a settlement wide alarm? (Unless you've deactivated those)
- Was there no audible announcement? "Reactor shutting down" or something?
I do think there's some bug or intended mechanics, not sure, where you power-up and things happen. One time, the settlement was empty when I got there (kind'a unusual, always scavies, right?), powered-up, and immediately, the scanner shows arrows outside, and I checked my contacts screen and there were both scavvies and employees (I think) there because it showed markers for bounties on some but not others, and there was like 20-30 there. Most of the time I deactivate the alarms when I see the panel, not sure I did this time, but not all the fire was extinguished when it happened so if I remember correctly it was still a bit chaotic with red lights... I was in ta sort of warehouse and I had activated those machines with a long timer that gives you some sample, waiting for them to come out and looting.
The power was cut almost at the end of the sampling process, so first I thought there was a bug with them or maybe a bug with the settlement resetting, I almost logged out to the menu.
Bounties won't tell you much. You need to find the NPC's faction (and compare with the faction owning the base). Can't do that in a suit, though, afaik (can with SRV, I think).I do think there's some bug or intended mechanics, not sure, where you power-up and things happen. Ok. But based on what I saw, and the sheer number, it was two different groups (can't remember exactly what else hinted it for me). It could have been two different factions of scavvies, but they were too many for me to bother. Basically my contacts list was filled with scroll down.Bounties won't tell you much. Didn’t even check, will do tomorrow.Anyone managed to get beyond mostly defensless in mercenary rank?
I've tried some CZ tonight but it's still very slow, not even half of it after having done lots of missions...
Frontline solutions no, war yes but I’m sure you already know that, if there isn’t any station or a large settlement they are not there, so that is what you can look for. Also is there anyway on the gal map to locate a system with frontline CZ?
I've tried war and Civil war status, but found nothing ( Colonia) then wandering, I found some CZ between 2 factions on a system in boom sate.
