Here we go again! 89 Military Grade Alloys : Zero Military Supercapacitors! AGAIN!!!

You have got to be kidding me! Again I find myself looking for Military Supercapacitors....

AGAIN I have found only HGEs with Military Grade Alloys in two system giving me a total of 89 MGAs now! an ZERO MSCs... :O

I had enough of this last week! I'm REALLY NOT AMUSED WITH THIS RNG! IT TOTALLY SUCKS.

FDev for the Love of All that is HOLY - Split these two types of HGEs up at the very least!

If I have to fly around in sodding circles for hours, I want to at least find what I came looking for... Not a succession of unending MGAs...

And before I get lectured to go to the Mats trader again. I only get 1 MSC for every 6 MGA. So not exactly to my advantage is it. Fix the damned RNG!

Noticed that too, in various systems (Federal, Empire, independent non-anarchy, anarchy).

At least make them like PLA\PRA or PC\CDC, which both spawn in one HGE.

From an earlier guide, try a War or Civil War system, Independent, ~2000Ls from primary, .50C cruise speed, and large population.

You are so unlucky it's almost funny. Sorry. rofl. (naturally, I'm assuming that mil supercaps aren't something else that disappeared or got 'balanced' yesterday morning. ;) )

UGH! Sorry to hear that you are still dealing with this.

May I ask what you are upgrading that requires so many Super Capacitors? Just curious since I don't seem to be using mine up much at all.

As far as the spawn rates go... I did notice that my Polonium reserves were getting on the low side so I decided to head down to my planet of choice for Polonium and I too was having a terrible time finding any.

This was the same planet that provided me with my original 220+ units of Polonium I amassed in the days leading up to the 3.0 release.

So once again, despite what I keep reading in the various point update patch notes, the spawn rates of many of the HGE materials as well as apparently keystone G5 Raw Materials has gone way down from previous versions of the game. They have definitely not gone up or even stayed the same as 2.4 levels.

FDEV really needs to make this right ASAP! Most sensible folks are able to see that the advantages of the new 3.0 engineering and materials system far outweigh any downsides. Provided of course that the various materials and data are readily available and not locked away behind some fabricated, artificial scarcity situation.

Good advice but we went through this on the last thread on this subject by the same OP, he/she is definitely 'doin' it right'. Talk about bad luck. :)

For me mil supercaps represent as many other caps as I want (via trader) making them one of THE most valuable high end mats. Aside from that, they are used in G5 high capacity and focused mods, which are quite commonly used (for missiles and cannons and for lasers and PAs, respectively).

"We dont't want to waste your time..."

Quite, this (HGE search and RNG) is the last bastion of bad design left over from the original engineer implementation.

he/she is definitely 'doin' it right'./QUOTE]

Really?

Federation System. War. No Civil War. Ruling Faction in the War. Easy.

Yes, really, I wrote a 1000 word guide myself in the last thread.

P.S. You mean independent system, to avoid dilution by CDCs. ;)

I know where they are used. I was curious as to what specifically Susanna was using them for. :)

isn't this why they added the mat traders??

I'm pretty sure it was delberate that you would not be able to get away from grinding out the highest level mats, which is kinda how it should be to be honest, since, with the trader, they provide UNTOLD amounts of the lower mats.

I was having the complete opposite problem of you. I maxed out my Military Superconductors but couldn't find MGA's for the life of me.
