Ok, not wanting to sound like a noob but how do you deactivate the boost? Is it a double click like when you shut down frame shift jump in an emergency stop? Every time I’ve done that I get massive damage to my ship.

It's a second (not a double) click of the same key that activates it (the normal boost bind).

Did you perhaps mean deactivate the boost with the same key? I know how to activate it, it’s the shutting it down part I’m not sure about. Either way thank you for your reply.

Thank you to all who replied. Especially Factabulous’s reply! (I loved it) I know I sound like a noob but I DO have over 2000 hours in the game. Started back in 2019. Always learning new stuff is what appeals to me about this game.

Count me in that group for the first 4-5 attempts. Even now, I find myself occasionally holding the button despite knowing it isn’t necessary.

I am loving the SCO, so much so that I want to replace all of my FSDs with them. I have them all engineered and hate grinding mats so this is going to be rough for me but will be worth it when done.
