Here you can mining Palladium near Kaushpoos

38 Lyncis

Here you find a METALLIC ring with pristine reserves.

-Check the system Map for the Planet with the METALLIC ring.
You dont have to drop at an extraction zone,
just approach the shiny white inner ring and drop into it where you want.

Some Advices:
-Drop in the sunny side of the ring. ,( its good for your Vitamin D )
-Lock the Planet and moving mostly towards it.
-Prospector Limpets are great, they show you the contents of a rock AND seems you get more fragments out of it.
-Collector Limpets finally fixed so you can use more than one at the same time. ( Be sure you have nothing locked when firing it, so they stay their entire lifetime with you.)

Happy Mining.

Make sure the roid is not drifting toward's you also, it causes the collector's to comit suicide trying to get fragment's that have been caught on the roid due to it's drifting.

What's nuts is that Palladium seems impossible to find. Obviously its supposed to be difficult, but I've got more Painite than Palladium! lol

You're not alone. I've run six trips, and only came up with seventy one tons. It's still in my hold, and I'll make one or two more trips, then off to Kaushpoos to sell it.

You just have to use prospectors and cherry pick, don't get too swayed by some of the other shiny shiny!

I've done a couple of mining sessions in a python, gotten between 20-30 tons of palladium each time, does take a while though, think each session has been at least 2 hours.

Hip 43296 planet 5.. park 50km from the high intensity extraction zone. Mine away. . I get about 30 t paladium an hour. But I get distracted by Shiny asteroids.. I've never had a problem with pirates either, as there is usually a a large police fleet near by. HAPPY MINING. let's get that station some levels.
P.s. it's aprox 30 ly from Kaushpoos
P.s.s. There are two stations large ship capable within 5 ls of the mining area.

This is where I was mining... It's 4 jumps for me just the same as 38 Lyncis. Pulling 30-45 palladium a trip. Got 51 platinum on my last trip too. For me this system is better than 38 Lyncis. Why? Because the brown dwarf with metallic is only 750 ish Ls from the star... Not near 3k like the planet in 38 Lyncis. Plus has 2 stations within spitting distance if you do anything foolish or have an oops.

Painite Palladium and Platinum, my three p's to a profitable mining career. Also hell, I'm in a good mood, if you're like me and like your mining quiet and you don't mind a nearly 200ly run from Kaushpoos, check out HIP 54598, planet 8 has a metallic pristine reserves ring.

HR 3499 is also good place for mining. Planet 4 and Class Y star number 5 has metallic rings. No worries for the npc pirates and real pirates because the lovely PvE-group :p

Thanks for the tip on this pristine ring. I mined 18 tons of palladium, a number of tons of osmium, a few of gold and silver and even 5 of platinum that I needed to for a mission back at Neville Horizons. Did it all in my new Asp, woohoo! BTW, 18 tons of palladium was enough to put me in the top 66% as of tonight, which is kinda nuts. That was just the first load, and I'm going to mine more tomorrow. With the prospector and collector limpets it's pretty nifty.

BTW, is there a way to call back limpets once launched (at least collector ones)?

Well, NPC pirates are still an issue if you're not careful. I played in Mobius group tonight and got interdicted on the way back from the mining run. The guy almost got through my shields.

No control over limpets once they launch.. really wish we could self destruct the prospector limpets. .

Really wish we could actually program the limpets to tell them what types of chunks to pick up. Which is how I thought it worked at first until they picked up one rock and exploded :p

I had that same problem.. turns out I was tO close to the rock they were picking up and ran into ship got destroyed.. now I sit about 400m away and let them work..

Don't target the fragments, the collectors will pick up automatically. If you target the fragment, the limpet collecting it will self destruct...
