Herpetologist Pack! - which species?!....🦎

I would love to see more range in reptiles, amphibians and Invertebrates. It would be cool to get a whole pack that fleshes out the herpetology range and our zoo's tropical/reptile houses. What are people's most wanted herpetology-style animals?

List of 10 animals just for fun....

Mix it up as you wish, but the 10 must include at least one of each:
🐸 Amphibians
🐍 Snakes
🐢 Testudines
🐊Crocodilians
🦎Lizards/Geckos
🦂🪲 Invertebrates

My list:
1 Orinoco crocodile
2 King cobra
3 Asian vine snake
4 Jackson's chameleon
5 Madagascan day gecko
6 Alligator snapping turtle
7 Sylvia's tree frog
8 Borneo/Wallace's flying frog
9 Sickle bearing bush cricket
10 Northern Grass mantis

Gonna cheat somewhat and skip crocodilians, just cos they're proportionally extremely well represented already, but if I were picking one I'd go Nile for iconicness.

1) Coral Snake sp.
2) King Cobra
3) Mantis sp
4) Mangrove Snake
5) Marine Iguana
6) Tokay Gecko
7) Chinese or Japanese Giant Salamander

9) Panther Chameleon
10) Asian Giant Softshell Turtle

Here's my list:

  5. Frilled lizard
  6. Philippine sailfin lizard
  7. Argentine horned frog
  8. Panther chameleon
  9. Madagascan day gecko
  10. Emerald tree boa
This is unfair, though, because I can think of a billion more to add, knowing we won't get anything more than 3, if that

1: Nile Crocodile
2: King Cobra
3: Green Anaconda
4: Eyelash Viper
5: Chinese Crocodile Lizard
6: Northern Caiman Lizard
7: Panther Chameleon
8: Alligator Snapping Turtle
9: Giant Weta
10: Chinese Giant Salamander

1. Alligator snapping turtle

3. Green anaconda
4. King cobra
5. Panther chameleon
6. Tokay gecko
7. Chinese giant salamander
8. Argentinian balck and white tegu

10. Nile crocodile

Still think there are tons missing: gaboon viper, coral snake, Black mamba, inland taipan, mulga, frilled necked lizar, thorny devil, bearded dragón, emeral tree boa, rock python, any adolescente lizard, plumero basilisk, mata mata turtle, desert rain frog, autralian green tree frog, blue poison dart frog, argentinian horned frog, Jacksons chameleon, marine iguana...

You're right, we do have a decent amount of Crocodilians already, cheating acceptable!

We share the king cobra and alligator snapping turtle. Would you like to see either of these as a habitat animal? They're fairly comparable to the Nile monitor in size, so I don't see why not!
Also we're the same in choosing a gecko, mantis and chameleon, though our species differ 🙏 marine iguana nearly made my shortlist, it would if I didn't include inverts!

That's a cool list!!
We are in agreement about the King cobra! Would you like to see this as a habitat animal?
We're also the same with Madagascan day gecko, we need a gecko! 🦎🙏 And m.d geckos are really splendid. I can easily imagine them in the game.
Emerald tree boa! That should of been on my short list, good choice!
Frilled lizard is also a good one! Thanks

1: Nile Crocodile

5: Chinese Crocodile Lizard
6: Northern Caiman Lizard
7: Panther Chameleon
8: Alligator Snapping Turtle
9: Giant Weta
10: Chinese Giant Salamander
King Cobra 🙏 yes! Same.
Same with alligator snapping turtle 🙏
Nile crocodile should have been on my list!
Both vote for a chameleon but different species. A chameleon would be cool, I wonder if they'd make it so when you dropped the animal in the exhibit, it turned the exhibit mesh for chameleons. That would be cool.
Giant weta good choice, would you have the giant salamander as a habitat animal? The perfect set up for that could be an exhibit double the size of the current one perhaps, and visitors could see it lurking under a big stone!

We are in agreement about the King cobra! Would you like to see this as a habitat animal?
I don't think so. I've only seen snakes in very small enclosures like what we have...
We're also the same with Madagascan day gecko, we need a gecko! 🦎🙏 And m.d geckos are really splendid. I can easily imagine them in the game.
Yes, yes. I love this species... It's like Yoshi in real-life...
Emerald tree boa! That should of been on my short list, good choice!
It was tough between that and the green tree python...
Frilled lizard is also a good one! Thanks
Australian lizards need some love...

I think one of the major failings of the exhibit system is the lack of diversity. (The other of course being the lack of different exhibit sizes). I understand why Frontier introduced exhibit animals with a very small set of looped animations only, as they are much less time consuming and labor intensive to produce then fully animated animals. The trade-off for these low-budget, fast-to-produce animals should be lots of diversity. Real zoos have dozens of reptile, amphibians, and invertebrates, and these species far out-number mammals in zoo collections. For example, poison frogs should receive a similar treatment to the butterflies, with five species from the same family: Dendrobates tinctorius (Blue poison frog), D. leucomelas (Bumblebee poison frog), D. auratus (Green-and-black poison frog), Oophaga pumilio (Strawberry poison frog), Epipedobates anthonyi. Personally I think the exhibit system wouldn't be so unpopular if players actually had enough species options to customize the exhibit choices in their zoo. You could easily add 10 amphibians, 10 invertebrates, 10 lizards, 10 venomous snakes, and 10 non-venomous snakes to the game.

3. Mozambique girdled lizard (an attractive-looking lizard from southeast Africa, with a growing captive presence)
4. Panther chameleon (probably the most recognisable Madagascan exhibit species)
5. Mangrove cat snake (my favoured snake choice for Southeast Asia)
6. Red spitting cobra (one of the more beautiful cobras, and ideal Horn of Africa representation)
7. Cane toad (a Central and South American species; the first toad in the game)
8. Luristan newt (the first Central Asian exhibit species, an endangered and beautiful newt with strong captive presence)
9. Fighting giant stag beetle (a good new beetle species, representing Southeast Asia)
10. South American conehead (a beautiful South American insect that can actually be kept in captivity, and the first cricket in the game)
