Hey guys, I'm really down. Anyone wanna help cheer me up by helping catalog some analogues to a bucket list item I have?

Hey all, a friend of mine gifted me this game back in January and it did not disappoint. I got to colonize two systems when Trailblazers came out (both unfinished), but I yearn for the deep black. I came back twice, once for Colonization and the second because I fell for the "Free Anaconda" hoax. But now I'm down for personal reasons I will not disclose.

One thing I'd really like to find some day is a system that resembles my "Hadeus" mod I made for Space Engine, which features a G/K binary star in a 10 day orbit with an ELW in a circumbinary orbit. Finding such a system in ED would be my Holy Grail, but I came up with a list of analogues that would also be kewl to find, bonus points for an ELW around them.

Basically, the analogous systems would be a binary pair, either solo or part of a more complex system, that has a single spectral class difference, and a logarithmic-ish increase in binary orbital periods to match the apparent angular separation of the two suns on a hypothetical circumbinary ELW around them, that my Belle Hades planet has when the two suns are at max separation (slightly shorter than the angular sep between the bottom two stars of the Big Dipper's bowl). Also, a low enough eccentricity where the binary orbits don't cross each other.

Here's the bucket-list of system types:

Code:
Hadeus-Alike Period Ranges:
O/B: 2048 - 4096 days
B/A: 512 - 1024 days
A/F: 128 - 256 days
F/G: 32 - 64 days
G/K: 8 - 16 days
K/M: 4 - 8 days
M/L: 2 - 4 days

Holy Grail: G/K ~10 days with eccentricity below 0.05 and a Circumbinary ELW

Anyone interested? It'd be a nice distraction to keep me out of bed rotting. :)

Spansh has a lot of info. I could run the searches but this is your project so I'll give you some directions.

If somehow you don't find what you need directly. If you find systems that are close the rest of the boxel should share similar traits so those are places to start your search.

Yeah, Idk how to use that. How do I use it? What does what? And so forth.

EDIT: And you're welcome to run searches as well. :)

You use it to search for systems that meet certain requirements.

If you wanted a body with a 10 day orbit you could go in and set the orbital period to 9.5 to 10.5 days.
You can then select your subtype So G and K type stars.

Or you could put in the orbital paramaters for your Earth like world and search for any that have been found.

Filter by distance from somewhere if you have too many results.

It's mostly fairly self explanatory. Do a bunch of searches download the results and then ask a LLM how to cross reference the files automatically if you're not good with programming.
