Newcomer / Intro High Ping

I started playing a couple of days ago and was playing singleplayer until now. When I went into a multiplayer game, I noticed it takes extremely long to load when leaving or entering supercruise and even longer when changing systems. In single player this transition worked pretty much instantly. So I checked in the menu and it says I have 460 ms ping. I do however have quite fast internet (75 Mb Up/15 Mb Down) and usually very low ping (in CS:GO for example around 15 ms). What could be the reason for this and how do I fix it?

Yeah, that's really weird.
Are you on Wi-fi or cable? Elite seems to kinda hate Wi-fi, at least in my case.
When you're in game, try pressing Ctrl+Shift+B (Or maybe it's Ctrl+Alt+B) to see the bandwidth usage. Also check if the issue remains when you're in Solo mode. If it's something specific to Elite and/or Open mode, open a ticket. Maybe they'll help you out with port forwarding and stuff.

It is just CTRL + B for bandwidth and CTRL + F for frame rate (left CTRL key for both) on my PC (W7 pro) - I don't know of any others.

So, for some reason it works just fine today. The ping is around 100 (still not optimal, but ok), bandwidth usage is 10k - 20k up and down. The loading times are pretty much the same as in single player. If the problem returns, I will contact the support. Thanks for your help.

I have a similar problem. I have ping around 500ms. It started to do after patch 3.0. In other games I have ping only up to 60ms. How do I fix it? My bandwith is between 70-12000

There is very little difference between Solo and Multi unless you go to a high traffic area like a CG. Even then, it wont normally make a lot of difference. If you have a bad ping, it just wont instance you with anyone else, so you will effectively still be in Solo
About the worse thing for bandwidth is having lots of friends.

it could also be another player affecting you. As this is a Point to Point network its designed to group you with players near each other ( in the real world ) and not with people in other continents. But sometimes it does happen and like many MMO games the slowest person always effect others.

but it's unbearable when it loading missions board and jumps between systems for 1 minute so I need to fix it. And sorry for my English I hope you understand me :D I'm a noob in foreign languages :/

If it's only started with the patch then I would open a support ticket.

I can't remember if it was the livestream or the patch notes, but I remember Elite saying somewhere that they had fixed some of the issues causing dropped connections in 3.0

Sometimes when you fix one thing you break something else.

Raise a ticket with support, there is a link on the launcher, that are very helpful.
