+++ High-Security base assault

Recorded this while I was waiting for the beta patch to drop, right before my power went out for twelve hours:

Not a system security base, those generally need a wing, but I thought this would be a useful demonstration of a brute force attack by a single CMDR on a large high-sec, beacon/comms relay type station.

Can be done with any ship, even an unmodded Courier (bring chaff and a PDT) can boop Goliaths and shoot anti-SRV turrets/skimmers. Corvette and SLFs just allows for a wider margin of error, if I get sloppy/lazy.

We used to be able to target Skimmers and Goliaths from our ships, lock onto them, scan them and decide whether to fire or not.
I had a Viper MKIV outfitted with dumbfire missiles and lasers, used to destroy all Skimmers, Goliaths and any turret that fired before landing and jumping into the SRV.
It gave us about 10 mins of peace and quiet before the turrets came back online.
Can this still be done? Last time I flew over a POI, it wouldn't let my ship lock onto skimmers.

Skimmer targeting works like SRV targeting, can't do it from a ship unless they have recently fired at you.

That said, it's not overly difficult to hit them with fixed weapons, and Goliaths are easy to get rid of just by crushing them.
