Hiring affiliates drivers

Hi ,

It seems that you can't hire a new affiliate driver while starting a new season in "Create a team" mode, when you're searching through the list of available drivers for the affiliate seat, each one of them seems to be blocked due to "start / end of the season too close" condition.

I might be wrong but an affiliate driver must be available for hiring at any time? Is there any time condition applied here? Maybe a "already done race" condition?

In the same topic (and if it's not a bug), would it be a good idea to being able to sign the affiliates driver while creating a new team? This way, we can fully control the driver aspect of the team before launching the season.

@Guikingone, this is the same for all drivers and staff when you have just started the save. Give it a few races and then everything is fine.

To Frontier: What I don't understand with affiliate drivers is why I have to pay the break clause to promote the driver. And secondly, why do I have a 19 year old 67 overall driver who earns the same amount of money that Pierre and Estaban are making (3.8 mill a year), and a 19 year old 61 overall making 3.2 mill a year. Each affiliate driver is making more money than my actual F1 drivers are combined. I have explored other teams and they affiliates are generally making either 0.5 mill or maybe close to 1 mill if they are good. How come newly generated affiliates for custom teams are making 3-6 times as much as everyone else?

Really hope to hear an answer on this. Thanks

I agree, though I fear Frontier don't even bother with these posts. I have raised a similar issue here Affiliate contract system broken in the issue tracker (probably the only place they'll take notice of it) which you can comment on if you wish.
