Hmmm can not jump... help

I am in a system and wish to jump to the nearest port in that system. I just finished a combat, and wanted to return to cash in bounty. My ship is mk III and full fuel. No damage to any systems. Just when i hit my key for FSD it does nothing. I tried it in normal mode and it worked, went back to solo mode and it still does not work. Tried normal mode again and now it doesnt work there either.

You can’t “jump” to a port in a system you’re in. You must engage supercruise rather that try to hyperspace jump to it. Hope that’s all the issue is and you can get to your port.

Geo has a good point also... check to be sure your cargo hatch is shut and your landing gear is up...

This might seem like an obvious question (or not) but when you say "jump" are you talking about FSD or "hyperspace" jump? Just that I wouldn't call an in-system FSD back to a station a "jump". Your language wasn't clear. Are you pressing "J"?

Yeah... actually I wondered later also if you were advancing the throttle and accelerating once you entered supercuise.

Not entirely sure what you are describing, but if you are in supercruise and not going anywhere, even though you are at full throttle. Check you are not in reverse.
