Hmmm- Let me C if I understand this correctly.

3 years short of being 3 times 13 here. Wizardry at work! :D

Hmmmm I wonder how many FREE updates wow GAVE away.

WoW did give away free updates, and they did it on a very predictable schedule. Yet, updates are not expansions, so your point is invalid.

Maybe a few more of you 13 yr olds should learn to appropriate your parent's hard earned efforts to coddle you by giving you things that they didn't have growing up

Despite the fact t hat this sentence is hardly coherent, perhaps you should refrain from blatantly insulting your audience without having a clear reason for doing so....

OH that is right wow called them expansions that COST real money

This doesn't feel like an expansion, just a very large update. Your argument is still rather inane, as you're comparing a game that requires a one-time purchase to a game that requires an initial purchase and then a subscription fee.

But who cares you didn't earn it
Because paying a subscription fee doesn't constitute "earning it"? Get out of here.

Anyone still play pong? donkey konk?
Yes. Also, I can spell "Donkey Kong". So I've got that going for me, which is nice.

Third note : 10% loss on module use. What other games u know you can "sell" back you inventory?

Just about every game in which an economy of some sort exists has a way to sell back items. Many games prevent certain items from being re-sold, not because they don't want you to earn the money, but because it creates balance issues within the game (especially in regards to RMT activity invalidating the time and effort honest players put into playing that content). None of the modules in this game present game-breaking balance issues. Each module is available to all players through very clear means of progression, and thus can be re-sold. Do not lecture us on something with which you seem to have no understanding of.

I love meeting (virtually) people from different cultural s from all over the world right from my little itty bitty office.

Great. Please refrain from being an irritating clown in your next posting, eh?

this game is hardly 20% complete, sells at full retail price and people like OP ask for paying more money.

this world has become a looney bin

Ps: just found out there isn't even a roadmap
better have 7 more free updates in the pipeline after 1.3 because that is approximately the number that is needed until it resembles a full game and FE2 replacement

...Vanilla WOW had dozens of Free to download patches that added new major content.

They also had a monthly subscription and millions of players since day 1, everyone seems to forget the pre-wow Hype, it was much bigger than what ED is or can even achieve.

. Anyone still play pong? donkey konk?

what was donkey konk? never heard of it.
Pong is still a great game. Download on android today!!!
so was donkey KONG, and yes, it's still played.
.
Wait, was there a point in your post?

13 year olds? I direct you to this poll - https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=3245

Also many of us did earn the $60 this game cost in the first place.

I see what points the OP is trying to put across, though it could have been done a lot better, less patronizing, and more effort put towards facts.

This is the great thing about the internet.

Even if you're really happy with the product you bought, you STILL get something to complain about.

Which only serves to underscore the frivolity of comparing ED with WOW. About the only things they share are 1. Being great games in their own sphere and 2. they're played online. My purpose in posting was simply to point out t̶h̶e̶ ... a logical fallacy in the OP's 'stream of consciousness'.

My my, someone is grumpy...

No. That is me your thinking about and today I feel okay :)
.
While I don't agree with the tone I get what the OP is complaining about. The last couple of days the forum has been full of people whining about 1.3 and most haven't played it yet. The module buy back at 100% is a bit unrealistic and DB has indicated that while they are shelving the idea in 1.3 it will possibly come back at some time in the future in a different iteration.

When they launched 1.0 it was still a beta in disguise, had loads missing.

They didn't release the full game we all paid for, they still haven't in my view.

When the missions system so works properly and they've added some good, chain, enthralling missions then maybe I'll consider it a 1.0 release.

If we were all 'on' what the OP seemed to be 'on', when he wrote the intro to the discussion. The world would be, well.. weird.. ;)

Psst, buddy, WoW charges "NOTHING" for "Updates". Only for expansions. And they should as WoW is a "Completed, finished, kaput, software program". This game is still in a "Glorified Beta". They couldn't charge for "Expansions" yet if they wanted too as the program is not even complete yet. It's even against the kickstarter's rules. When/IF this game EVER gets to a 'finished' stage, you can bet they will be charging for "Expansions". So, in a nutshell you are comparing apples to oranges. This game has truely earned the reputation for being a mile wide and one inch deep. You should stop drinking the kool aid.
