HORI PS4 HOTAS Coming out the 18th of january

10 days to the release of the Hori HOTAS. Still no official response.

In the meantime, I found the official instruction manual on the UK website

It gives a good idea of what input buttons there are. Note that a few are "for decorative purpose only" (this confirms my suspicion that no controller can have more input methods than the DS4). BUT, it has three buttons automatically bound to combinations (R1+L1, R2+L2, R3+L3) which effectively means three extra bindable buttons for Elite, as well as two hat switches/D-pads instead of one. The build quality is still unknown, but personally I'd be willing to buy a new HOTAS if it gave me three more buttons and another d-pad. Not to mention the touchpad, the rumble feature, and the headphone jack...

Here's the screenies:

Hori's quote does say:

In regards to Elite Dangerous, we have confirmed that our flight stick is compatible. For further assistance, please contact the software developer after the flight stick is released.

So Frontier Developments needs to respond still.

Heres the biggest catch if the flight game does not allow button remapping it must support one of these 3 controll mappings for the hori hotas to work the throttle and rudder...

If the flight game uses face buttons for throttle controll for example or some other messed up mapping the hotas will not work, but ED does allow remapping DS4 controlls so hori are correct in that it can work...

I wonder how long the cable is between the T & S? This is a major drawback of the T.Flight as it's just not long enough to run under a flight chair to have the controls on arm rests.

Well, it's a detachable modular connector, so I assume that a decent hardware/electronic components store would have extensions for that.

It’s looking pretty good as long as the quality matches the price tag.
The only price i’ve seen is £240.

Amazon Germany has it for 199 euros so the UK price will be £199 or less...
Don't pay the importers price increase yet... It will moved from Amazon Germany to the reset of amazon Eu in time but germany gets it first as they have the Biggest electrical retail warehouse for Amazon... Even when you order at amazon Uk many of the products will ship form via UPS in germany and not the UK warehouse and arrive over night to UK UPS for that day delivery...
