HORI TAC Pro One

Surfing around this morning I came across this device.

It's kind of a mid point for keyboard & mouse control for the XB1.

Device has a listing on Amazon UK, no price or stock yet though.

Could be a viable HOTAS alternative, for those needing to meet that need for what ever reason.

Cheers :)

£150 according to the article.

Hmm... Without a headset jack...

A little off topic but only a bit.
I am addressing the lack of Hotas headset jack by just ordering a set of the new Razer Threasher Xbox one headsets.
They have the new direct to console link, which is the same as a controller.
They also support the windows sonic for headphones.
Will do a review when I get them(3 to 5 days)

Noted, cheers man.

My thought as someone else posted this....

-Sigh UK only AGAIN (based on the T.Flight HOATS One situation on Amazon with Thrustmaster)
-Wondering if this has to be built in on a per game basis (seems that is the case)

Not going to lie... Probably going to buy this, assuming it can be used for Elite.

When it comes to peripherals... Well I'm nuts. My collection across Xbox & PC:

-Two Xbox One controllers, plus an Elite pad.
-Speedlink Quinox, Steam Controller, and Xbox 360 wired pad.
-Razer Ornata Chroma, with Deathstalker backup keyboard. Razer Mamba TE mouse, with Abyssus V2 backup.
-X0Four Stealth Headset on Xbox, HyperX Cloud II on PC.

Yes, I use them all at least once a week, save for the backup keyboard and mouse, which is kept safe in case anything happens to my Chroma devices.

I also have an X52 HOTAS, but it's fallen to the Mad Catz plague. Possibly getting replaced with a Thrustmaster t16000m FCS HOTAS.

Well that looks... Odd.

As a main FPS player I really can't find a reason for why I would want that but then again I haven't tried it, nor have I seen it in action so I can't really judge, just it doesn't look attractive to me.

useless device imo.

If i buy keyboard mouse for the xboxone, i'd buy it for RTS games.. This thing is useless for exactly that.

I was thinking the same thing. I can play any game with a controller, except RTS games, drives me bonkers! And it is really overpriced for half a keyboard. Or a third.

So I bought this

I preordered this on Amazon (you can't purchase this anymore they took down all listings.) and was able to receive it. The game pad part of it works really well and honestly I really liked the feeling of using it instead of a controller. However the mouse part is awful. I tried all kinds of settings and couldn't even get it close to be better than just using a controller. I know it wouldn't ever get to the level of a true mouse, but I was at least hoping for something better than the controller stick, and it just wasn't.

There is a headphone jack (I saw someone say they didn't see in a previous post)

Probably returning this. I have until 30 November.

It looks like a very cheaply made copy of a Logitech G13 (which costs less)...I use one of those, mainly for ARMA 3 since there's so many combination key inputs. It's great for the likes of ARMA combined with my 18 button gaming mouse for head-look etc. It's fairly useless without a mouse so I wouldn't bother looking to this as a viable alternative since it merely emulates the function of the left thumb-stick of an Xbox controller...with added buttons of course.

The analogue thumb stick on the G13 is to replace the WASD keys for movement plus 24 programmable buttons under the fingers of your left hand with multiple profiles and macro function as well as a multi function LCD screen...combined with a mouse, it eliminates the need for stretching fingers for combination keyboard inputs. (Like left CTRL+M etc)

I'll repeat though... a pretty pointless piece of hardware without the ability to use a decent gaming mouse in addition. With the exception of ARMA 3, I use my Xbox controller for all other FPS games...just like everyone else. For those assessing whether it'll be good for E-D, the answer is a definitive NO...It's a left handed device only...akin to playing with one hand..

As an aside from all that...if you keep adding hardware for your Xbox, you're going to have to do your gaming from a desk and not the sofa...lets draw a line here, if you want PC style peripherals...go buy a damned gaming rig and be done with it. The Xbox controller is pretty good as is. [yesnod]
