What about the abysmal state of keyboard+mouse controls for the SRV? Could we have, like, at least an acknowledgment that this is understood as a serious issue?
How can you expect to drive a car with a keyboard?

I think there are a few control options missing for SRV driving: Yaw (turning around in the air) and side to side boosting.
Beta is always a snapshot from "mubmle" weeks ago
wait.. so whatever i do in the beta doesn't affect my base game? or are they somehow connected?
the 2.0 beta still doesn't show when i launch elite via steam. still have to click on the launcher in the installation folder. hope this will be fixed soon[/QUOTE
the 2.0 beta wont be available via steam. the final release will be available at some point via steam but there is not published timetable for it. Go here for more info

While that's true of game play, it does not appear to be true for custom key bindings. I reset my bindings for the X55 pro and it wiped out the customizations I had for the live game also.
This is so awesome... I hope they keep that in![]()
Any fix for the SRV destruction sending you back to the last station cause I'm sorry that's gotta be a bug. Also any fix for loosing your exploration/ bounty data when the SRV is destroyed too cause we've been told that's tied to the ship so there is no reason it should be lost with the SRV.
xbox controller.. all the way.. it is so easy to control you wont believe. I do think the Auto Asist is buggy though, and sometimes it gets stuck in reverse.
Can't help but think that a superluminal collision *would* do some pretty weird things though...
- Hitting a planet at high speed (above several C in supercruise) no longer does weird things
That's a pretty funny ideaTried to steal a ship didnt work
Just turn off Drive Assist... and ensure it is set to Default to Off as well.Could someone be so kind as to suggest some control keybindings for the SRV that can achieve forward if throttle forward and reverse if reverse button is pushed so the control profile is similar to the Saitek x52-pro control profile for the main ship?
Is it too much to ask to have forward be forward and reverse be reverse? I find the SRV almost impossible to control.
