This is already the case in settlements and other big outposts.

For the kind of POIs we're talking about here it doesn't make much sense to have a SAM battery placed right next to a crashed ship. ;)
Makes little sense to have skimmers there, either. Where do they get their fuel from? Where did they come from? Why are they 'protecting' a crashed ship with a cannister of tea? Why can you find escape pods - why didn't they return to the last docked point? Etc., etc. You have to play these PoIs without switching your brain on.
 
Ehhhh "POI", "mass exceeded"...

and have you heard new Diamondback Explorer sound? That "poof, poof!", like in old locomotive?

It is... incredibly awesome !

Maybe "POI" team has still some work,
but SOUND TEAM can dress the Christmass Tree right now! :)
 
I hope there are more variations of POI's that what I've seen so far. For an expansion the price of a full game I would expect tons of content on planetary landings. I've personally only seen 3 or 4 variations of POI's which is very disappointing. There should be literally hundreds of variations if you want people to spend time on planet surfaces. I don't need POI's littering the planet, I just want LOTS of variations to them when I find them especially the further I go out in the black. The new adjustment to the scanner cutting out at 2km is just plain wrong!
 
I think and hope they will revise the poi back to beta 4 state and after releasing Horizons add more and more diversity to them and make them more rare. And more lucrative. I guess those that are in now are mostly placeholders, because finding coffee soon starts to get repetitive and little rewarding. Although im being a little bit hard on the criticism today its only because I want E.D to be the best it can be. Go looking for pois on planets its great fun, but it soon becomes boring if its not immersive and lucrative. Have a nice weekend :)
 
I often Wrote about thibgs which not work well i ED...BUT now I will thank the whole Team for Fixing the Keybindings.

I just remembered another 'bug' that's around since PB2 and still is a thing which is setting the speed to 75% via keybind in normal flight and then waiting for SC or jump to work which they rarely ever do because the 75% keybind makes the ship go 74.9% and therefore jump and SC won't trigger and just complain that you should throttle up :D

Which is funny because the throttle is far enough up, the ship's momentum just didn't catch up yet.


And now I got the landing stuck bug a 2nd time, of course again after finding 6t of legal gold.
I just wanted to bring my ship closer but when I boarded it I was unlanded while landed and turning on the engines to force a take off didn't turn them on so I could only exit and re-enter and of course was the gold gone then. Yay.

Gotta get used again to take boarding the ship like playing russian roulette with a semi-auto...

Bug Report

Picked up cannisters on Moon Diaguandri b1 of non lethal weapons which generated a mission to deliver them to a station.Accepted mission.Got back on board ship nothing showing in transactions mission log.Or Inbox.This is quite a large bug as the game does not recognize when transferring from SRV to Ship.

Edit much later: Now, at a time where most people here are sleeping it updates without problems...

ROFL just saw it, though a little late as update 6 is going on, but there was a little joke on the launcher window
