YES BUT, you will be able to land on planets nobody else would be able to, there is an upside.

Be glad your in game, most of us cannot even get close to downloading the thing and we all live within 50 miles of frontier.

Just self-destruct and you'll be back. Exploration data means nothing in Beta, your main game save is safe.

MY GOD FRONTIER WILL SOMEONE JUST TELL ME WHATS UP WITH THE SERVER REFUSED TO PROVIDE INSTALLER. IS THAT BECAUSE THE SERVERS ARE DOWN? OR IS IT ME?

EDIT: I know others are having the same issue but what i mean is it because of our steam install or something? (I already downloaded newest launcher thats not the problem and im not launching through steam)

So where is this Horizons Beta that people are talking about? I only see 1.5 beta 32 and 64 bit in the launcher but no 2.0. And yes I have premium beta and life time expansion pass.

Those of us affected are also quite frustrated. However, whilst you're waiting for a fix might I suggest you apply some WD40 to your broken caps-lock key.

I can't tell if you are bragging or complaining. Most of us can't even download the game as the launcher won't let us.

At least you are playing.

Ok cool. So is it something that they will just fix and itll work or am i going to have to do something? i did read they shut the downloads off? is this still true?

Well after waiting patiently for Horizons Beta to show up at the Frontier store under "My Downloadable Products" with no luck I decided to try to open the Elite Client from the steam folder directly (Steam\steamapps\common\Elite Dangerous) and can confirm Horizons Beta 2.0 does show up as an install option. Downloading now. Has anyone else completed their install this way and confirm it works?

How many people here who are having problems installing from the launcher getting an error when they hit Install for 2.0 also have their Steam version enabled? I do and I see someone else does, does anyone here who uses a Steam version but has an original able to install, and is anyone without a Steam version not able to install?

So how does this work for Steam purchased games? I have to dl a 64bit loader, then running it will overwrite my steam "install". Or will it download another entirely new "install" that I'll have to reconcile with steam later when 2.0 is released? Or did FD update the steam clients already to 64bit, cause I did get a new, snazzier launcher within the last few days.

I'm still at work and while I'm sorry to hear about all the heartaches, I'm glad its happening now, so when I get home you guys will have worked out all the bugs.

i am beta backer WITHOUT STEAM. I Can say im having same problem, but were not the only ones..

I get this issue, but I think I know what's wrong with the system and why so many are effected. Its those Bloody Thargoids. Some silly Dev team member let them out of the box for just a split second and they went all over the place. Now they are way to busy to fix the issues because they now have to run around after those Thargoids, Thank god this isnt Star Trek online, just think how bad they had it when they had Klingon..., owch

It's beta so your main game progress won't be saved. Just self-destruct and start back at the previous station back in the bubble.
