News Horizons and 1.5 launch - Servers offline

Greetings Commanders,

The servers are going down now as we get ready to bring you Elite Dangerous: Horizons and the 1.5 (Ships) update.

We’ve had an incredible journey in the build-up and we’re as excited as you are to be able to begin our season of Horizons updates. Thank you all so much for your continued support, it really does mean the world galaxy to us!

We’ll keep you updated with the server downtime but we’ve got loads of things happening to keep you entertained while you wait.

From 10:00 GMT David Braben will be live on the Elite Dangerous Subreddit answering your questions in our AMA.

From 12:00 GMT the Frontier Developers will be joining Edward Lewis live on our YouTube channel as they talk about the road to Horizons, Planetary Landings and the future season of expansions. Watch the stream here.

We will be updating the final patch notes shortly so keep an eye on the patch notes forum for those details.

It would be better to announce this prior to taking the servers offline.

Out of interest, what happens to the mission timers? I have a few big ones all due over the next couple of hours.

Yep, same here. Had 100% of my net worth between the ship and cargo. Some warning that the servers were going offline would have been appreciated. :(

Quick Question. When the servers went down i just excepted some High reward missions. Will the countdown run out?? Probably not but would like to know for definite.
